Objective:Based on the selected data of Shanghai famous Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)doctors in diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases during the period of the Republic of China,through the study of individual experience and academic opinions of doctors,and the horizontal connection,this paper sorts out,excavates and summarizes the experience of Shanghai TCM doctors in diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases during the period of the Republic of China,and summarizes and refines the valuable prescriptions and medication rules,academic ideas and clinical characteristics of Shanghai TCM in that period In order to inherit the academic essence of TCM in the Republic of China and provide reference and new ideas for the current development of TCM.Methods:This study mainly uses the method of literature science to summarize and refine the ideas of diagnosis and treatment and the experience in the use of prescriptions and medicines by collecting the discussion and medical records of the famous Shanghai TCM doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases during the period of the Republic of China.In the research,we read Modern history of China,General history of Chinese medicine,Overview of academic achievements of famous Chinese scientists in the 20 th century,Integration of traditional Chinese medicine and technology in Shanghai,and selected 20 famous TCM doctors who had a certain influence at that time from those who had been practicing medicine for a long time in Shanghai.The representative works or experience summary materials are sorted,summarized and classified.At the same time,referring to the national standard of the people’s Republic of China Classification and code of TCM syndromes and internal medicine of TCM combined with the clinical practice,in this study,hiccup,belching,vomiting,choking diaphragm,fullness,epigastric pain,abdominal pain,diarrhea,constipation nine categories of syndromes were selected as the research object,respectively,to explore,and finally to summarize,refine and draw a conclusion.Results:The data of 20 famous doctors in Shanghai on the diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases were collected.According to the anatomy of spleen and stomach,physiological function and nine kinds of diseases,the individual doctors’ experience in diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases was described,and the experience,diagnosis and treatment characteristics and academic thoughts of this group were summarized.Finally,the influencing factors of academic thoughts were analyzed.Conclusion:1.Under the background of the integration of Chinese and Western medicine,the Shanghai famous TCM doctors in the Republic of China re recognized the spleen and stomach of TCM,and considered that the spleen of TCM includes the spleen and pancreas of Western medicine,which is the pronoun of digestive system.2.In the diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases,this group advocates simple style of study,and attaches importance to the diagnosis of tongue,pulse,abdomen and the research and application of prescriptions.There are both school characteristics and personal characteristics.3.This group systematically sorted out and explained the diagnosis and treatment of spleen and stomach diseases of TCM,and absorbed the knowledge of digestive diseases of Western medicine to supplement and improve spleen and stomach diseases of TCM,which made a beneficial contribution to the inheritance and development of spleen and stomach diseases of TCM.
