Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland during the War of Resistance Against Japan(1931-1945)formed the largest scale in the Japanese occupation period.Among them, the literary achievements of Zhang Wojun,Zhang Shenqie,Hong Yanqiu,Su Xiangyu,Zhong Lihe,Lin Haiyin,Wu Zhuoliu,Liu Na’ou are the most outstanding writers.Taiwanese writers who lived in Chinese Mainland during the War of Resistance Against Japan were related to each other because of the similarity of their trajectories in East Asia.At the same time, there were complex networks within them, taking Beijing and Taipei as their stronghold, forming the mainstay of the literary circles during the War of Resistance Against Japan and in Taiwan after the war.In addition, they had similarities in the emotional characteristics of their motherland and Japan.Their longing for the motherland and their resistance to Japanese colonial rule before they went to Chinese Mainland made it possible for them to be discussed as a group of writers.Among the Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland during the War of Resistance Against Japan, the influence of regional mobility on them is profound. This influence is reflected in literature. They are clearly influenced by the spirit of the May 4th Movement and the New Literature Movement in China. They had different social activities with Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren, the New Literature writers of the May 4th Movement, thus absorbing the essence of the Chinese New Literature Movement.Their memorial articles about Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren have historical value to the study of Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren. In addition, influenced by other writers during the May 4th Movement, the group of Taiwanese writers are reflected to many writers of the May 4th Movement in their works, showing their inheritance of the May 4th Movement literature.Among them,Hong Yanqiu is deeply influenced by Zhou Zuoren. His inheritance of Zhou Zuoren’s prose aesthetics makes Zhou Zuoren’s aesthetics prevail in Taiwan after the war.At the same time, the Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland had interaction with the Taiwanese writers who did not migrate at that time.Compared with them, the works of Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland reflect more clearly anti-Japanese and anti-colonial spirit, while the latter suffered from colonial oppression and could only use more obscure means to express their anticolonial ideas. The cultural impact of regional mobility on the Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland during the War of Resistance Against Japan is due to the changes of their cultural feelings towards China before and after their immigration. Thus, the imagination of the Taiwanese writers towards the motherland presents three different attitudes, affecting their self-perception.The first kind is the writers whose imagination of China has been solidified/strengthened.For the Taiwanese writers, such as Zhang Wojun,Zhang Shenqie,Hong Yanqiu,Su Xianyu and Lin Haiyin, who have been in Beijing for a long time, the reason why they chose Beijing as their long-term place of residence lies in their sense of identity of "China" and their initiative to choose to go inward China as a means of resisting colonial rule. The keyword that appears on them is " adherents of a former dynasty ".Their learning and living experience in Chinese Mainland have made them have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture and a stronger sense of recognition of the motherland. Therefore, they takes China as a model or lighthouse of Taiwan. Thus, they links the Chinese culture with modernization, thus resisting the colonial policy of the colonial government confusing Japanese culture with modernization in Taiwan,in order to revive Chinese culture in Taiwan and rebuild the imagination of China as a national community.Compared with the post-war writers who moved to Taiwan from Chinese Mainland, they have different perspectives in shaping Beijing space.Their special status as Taiwanese determines their dual marginal status in region and spirit. Therefore, their memory of Beijing is not like that of the writers who moved to Taiwan from Chinese Mainland, but is still a kind of space "across the sea" to contrast themselves. The second kind is the writers who change the feelings of the motherland from longing to criticism, among which Zhong Lihe and Wu Zhuoliu are the representatives.Zhong Lihe and Wu Zhuoliu’s critical attitude towards the imagination of the motherland stems from their short and unpleasant experience in Chinese Mainland, and the reasons for their mobility are due to their escape from unfortunate experience in Taiwan. So their keyword is "flee from calamity ".Their criticism of the motherland is not national criticism, but civil criticism. They criticize the failure of China during the war and the failure of the Enlightenment in wartime, but do not change their beliefs in traditional Chinese culture and the native land of China. At the same time, these characteristics are also revealed in the re-imagining in the space of Taiwan.Their criticism of the reality in Taiwan after returning to Taiwan proves that their criticism of the motherland does not represent a change of identity, but also makes them to create a Utopia to escape the disillusionment of their motherland(the mainland of China)and their homeland(Taiwan). The third kind is the extreme case which deviates from the cultural identity of both China and Japan.Liu Na’ou is the representative.Liu Na’ou’s creation of Shanghai space only takes part of its modern city, but neglects the part of its local and regional characteristics, thus revealing his mentality of tourists to Chinese space. His shaping of Beijing’s urban space also shows this feature. The keyword of Liu Na’ou is "exile".He is a “intermediary” between Chinese and Japanese cultures in the group of Taiwanese writers living in Chinese Mainland, reflecting the separation of the imagination of the national community because of the colonial system and the colonial imprint.
