| Traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang is not only the most representative wooden vessel with typical art forms and stylistic characteristics in Xinjiang traditional furniture,but also one of the most indispensable part in traditional Chinese object-making culture.Taking wooden furniture for storage as a vehicle,this research explores the production,evolution and progression of a variety of creative thought trajectories about the art of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang under the context of muilticultural background,so that the revelation and transformation of the ethnic culture matrix could be fulfilled.By combing and interpreting the graphic contexts and cultural metaphors about the object-making decorations of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang,the dissertation aims to construct a theoretical system of the art of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang.Furthermore,by means of doing practical project researches,the author of the dissertation provides ideas and strategies about inheritance and innovation of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang.The dissertation takes object-making culture of nomadic and agricultural people in Xinjiang as the research objects,meanwhile dates back to the mutual integration of artistic style of traditional furniture for storage in Xinjiang with cultures of central plain areas,central Asia and furthur regional areas.And field researches have been conducted in Tarim Basin,Junggar Basin and central Asian areas.From the perspectives of geographical environments,modes of production,life styles,customs and religious rituals,the dissertation elaborates on the shapes and forms,decorative style,texture and craftsmanship of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang by employing digital media geometry model structure.By means of analyzing the physical structures and dermatoglyphic patterns about wooden furniture for storage,the author of the dissertation draws a solid conclusion that the culture of traditional wooden furniture for storage in Xinjiang is production of interaction between the west and the east,the north and the south.Furthermore,by combining object-making theory and traditional culture,the dissertation discusses the practical significance of the inheritance,innovation and development of traditional object-making art in Xinjiang,which supplements the important information missing in the development chain of object-making art in Xinjiang.The research findings provide new way of thought and method for furniture modeling and decoration studies,which not only plays a positive role in facilitating social and economic development in Xinjiang,but also enhances the cultural prosperity of different ethnic groups. |
