A Comparative Study On The Value Orientation Of Chinese Art Students Studying In Japan And Europe In Modern Times (1895-1937)

After the defeat of the Sino Japanese war in the late Qing Dynasty,the wave of studying abroad in Japan rose,which also gave birth to the trend of studying abroad with the largest number in the history of modern art.After the rise of the movement of studying in France,Chinese art of studying abroad in Europe has gradually formed another trend.After the outbreak of the comprehensive anti Japanese war in 1937,a large number of students stopped studying abroad and put themselves into the national anti Japanese war.The large-scale activities of studying abroad stopped abruptly.In general,liunisheng and liuosheng have drawn western art resources in different cultural environments.Due to different academic learning and social art trends,they have formed different artistic value orientations,which are reflected in various aspects such as artistic creation style,art education,creative value orientation,etc.which have made outstanding contributions to the modern transformation of Chinese art.In the creative style of life art and music,the writer tends to pursue personal lyric emotional expression,which is more emotional and mixed in the process of absorbing and integrating western art.The group of European scholars came to the west to face the original scriptures,and received more systematic and standardized college training,and the style of art ontology language was more pure and solid.Both schools of art creation are compatible with the Chinese and western cultural characteristics.The beginning of modern Chinese art education is deeply influenced by Japanese educational concept and mode,and has the characteristics of "practical benefits".Students in Japan have great achievements in introducing new art teaching mode.In the late 1920 s,with the establishment of national art institutions,the art education system gradually systematized and standardized under the guidance of students staying in Europe.The overseas students jointly promoted the pioneering and systematic construction of Chinese art education.Liunisheng has a complex emotion for Japanese and western art.They are based on the traditional national absorption and transformation of western art,which has the characteristics of practical and radical in value orientation,and strong nationalist emotion.Influenced by European liberalism,the artists in Europe have diversified artistic interests and broad vision,and pay more attention to the study of artistic noumenon value.From the perspective of cross-cultural communication,it is indirect for Japanese students to learn from western art creation style and art theory,and their art communication mode is also limited in the eastern cultural circle.Students studying in Europe,who have crossed the cultural circle of China and the west,learn western art from the origin of Europe,have more pure artistic value orientation.Similarly,the artistic value orientation of international students comes from the common influence of college education and social art trend.Because of the differences of art resources and practice tracks,the two art groups studying in Japan and Europe have different historical significance in the transformation of modern art.The significance of the former lies in pioneering,while the contribution of the latter lies in promoting.The contribution of Japanese students lies in the early translation of western art theories,the creation of Lingnan Painting School,the opening of a new pattern of art in Taiwan,the pioneering of early western art schools,the introduction of short-lived modern art trends and the promotion of left-wing literature and art movement;The important role of art students studying in Europe lies in the establishment of overseas art groups and the promotion of art movements,the advocacy of local art movements,the establishment of national art education institutions,and the systematization and physicalization of art disciplines.It can not be ignored that Cai Yuanpei’s aesthetic education thought plays an important role in the development of modern art.In the historical context of national salvation and Enlightenment in the early 20 th century,the modern transformation of Chinese art led by foreign students has formed its own logic and evolution path.Their artistic value orientation also formed three common trends of "localization","popularization" and "Anti Japanese and national salvation" in the continuous adjustment of individual shaping and reality grasp.Modern art students studying in Japan and Europe are both pioneers and founders of Chinese modern art,music and other art disciplines.Their artistic value orientation has guided the modern transformation of modern art creation and art education in the process of introducing western art resources and transforming national traditional art.
