As a type of early Chinese writing,Western Zhou bronze inscriptions contain rich information, which carries important information on the generation, structure and evolution of early Chinese characters. The article mainly studies the inscription Calligraphic Characteristics of Western Zhou bronzes from four aspects:The first is the analysis of the characteristics of the inscription style of the bronze ware in the Western Zhou Dynasty. There are many reasons for the formation of the inscription style of the bronze ware in the Western Zhou Dynasty. The similarities and differences of the inscription style are affected by many factors. From the aspects of historiography, sociology and inscription stylistic characteristics of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the influencing factors of inscription style are studied. The second is to divide the bronze wares with inscriptions in Wangji and the vassal states in the Western Zhou Dynasty according to their regions.Among them,in the Zhou Wangji region, taking the bronze inscriptions in Zhouyuan,Shaanxi, and Chengzhou,Luoyang,Henan as examples, tombs and cellars unearthed in Zhouyuan,Shaanxi The inscription style of bronze wares of noble families is studied, and the inscription style of early, middle and late Western Zhou Dynasty in Chengzhou area is studied. The third is to study the style and style of the bronze inscriptions of the vassal states in the Western Zhou Dynasty. The inscription styles of the feudal vassal states with the surname Ji and non-Ji surname were studied respectively. The article attempts to limit the study of inscription styles to the same region, the same vassal state, the same cellar, the same tomb, the same family, and the same maker, and then divide the inscriptions into groups and categories according to the maker,so that A horizontal and vertical comparative study of bronze inscriptions is carried out.Through comparative research,we can see the stylistic characteristics and calligraphy style of the bronze inscriptions in the vassal state, family, cellar, and tomb,as well as the writing habits, aesthetic pursuits and style of the times of the unnamed caster. The fourth is to study the stylistic characteristics of inscriptions mainly by using methods such as classification, comparative analysis, and examples.Based on the pictures of concrete inscriptions,we try to present the stylistic characteristics and styles of inscriptions as accurately as possible. The main research conclusions are as follows:First of all, from the perspective of the enfeoffment, etiquette and historiography of the vassal states in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the relationship between the Zhou royal family and the vassal states is very close, and the politics, economy and culture of each vassal state are all within the scope of the management of the Zhou Dynasty.During this period, the inscription on the bronze ware, which is mainly used to serve the Zhou royal family and aristocratic families,is consistent in the basic configuration of the bronze inscriptions in different places. The regional feature of the inscription is not as obvious as that in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. The differences in the style and style of inscriptions in different regions in the Western Zhou Dynasty are mainly related to the writers of inscriptions.Secondly, the bronze inscriptions of the Western Zhou Dynasty contain a variety of calligraphy types and calligraphy styles.Through the analysis of the book style characteristics of the inscriptions of the same region, the same vassal state, the same cellar, the same tomb, the same family and the same writer,we can see that even with the same inscription, there are differences in the type of the inscription. At the same time, there is a certain relationship between the writing of object inscriptions made by different lineages of the same family.Thirdly, the calligraphic characteristics of the bronze inscriptions of the feudal feudal states with the surname Ji in the Western Zhou Dynasty are generally consistent with the inscriptions in the Zhou Wangji area. The differences in bronze inscriptions in different regions are mainly reflected in the way of writing, the characteristics of the calligraphy, and the style. This difference is directly related to the casting time, the caster, the carrier and the post-production.During the Western Zhou Dynasty, the inscriptions of non-Ji feudal vassal states had great differences in the level of casting, and the style and style of the inscriptions showed strong individual characteristics, especially the inscriptions made by non-monarchs in the Ba Guo and Peng Guo utensils.Although the inscriptions made by the monarch are generally more standardized and dignified, through material analysis, there is no such elegant and solemn as the Qiangpan,Songgui,Guojizi baipan and Hugui of the Zhou Dynasty. Finally, there are many utensils with the same inscription in the Western Zhou Dynasty, and many inscriptions are written differently.Through the comparative study of the same word in the same inscription,it can be seen that the different writing methods of the inscriptions mainly include: the left and right of the components, the replacement of the components up and down, the mirror image of the different writing, the left and right orientation of the components, the addition or reduction of stippling, and the slight difference inside the component.Variation results in different writing methods, such as different writing, straight and curved lines, line orientation, thickness, etc.,line increase or decrease, stroke change, line thickness, length change, stroke change, retraction change and other different writing methods.Different writing of inscriptions is a common phenomenon. It cannot be directly judged that the inscriptions are in different styles and styles because of the difference in a certain feature in the inscriptions. The identification of book style and style needs to be comprehensively judged by combining many factors. For the study of the style of inscriptions,it is necessary to analyze the specific inscriptions in detail, and cannot generalize.Only by analyzing the elements of each inscription in detail, can the characteristics and style of the inscription be accurately grasped.Through the analysis of the characteristics of the calligraphy style and calligraphy style of bronze inscriptions in the Western Zhou Dynasty,in order to explore more types of inscription calligraphy style, explore the law of the evolution of inscription calligraphy and the reasons for its formation,so as to provide reliable theoretical support and practical basis for the calligraphy creation of inscriptions in later generations.
