| Shi Lu is a painter with the spirit of exploration in the 20 th century.In his painting course,he has carried out a variety of media practice,and his artistic style varies from time to time.Figure painting is an important part of Shi Lu painting practice.It plays its role in various historical periods in corresponding forms and reflects the changes of artistic thoughts.In this paper,Shi Lu’s character-themed painting creation is summarized into figure painting for study,including woodcut,color ink painting,freehand painting and sketch manuscript,etc.With historical development as the clue,the transformation of Shi Lu figure painting style and representative works are analyzed,and the formation,development and value significance of Shi Lu figure painting style are comprehensively studied.This paper takes the development of Shi Lu figure painting as the main line to carry out research,takes the study of its painting ontology language as the starting point,takes time and artistic style as coordinates,divides Shi Lu figure painting into four periods.Shi Lu’s practice of woodcut figure painting in Yan ’an Period(1940--1949),Shi Lu’s exploration of color ink figure painting(1949--1958),Shi Lu’s formation of freehand style of figure painting(1959--1965),Shi Lu’s expression of individual spirit in revising Indian paintings(1970).Through the analysis and comparison of painting works in four periods,the characteristics of formal language are summarized and the causes are analyzed,so as to sort out the development vein of Shi Lu figure painting and reveal the significance of cultural foundation and historical background to the development of Shi Lu figure painting.At the same time,his self-consciousness of individual consciousness and the spirit of daring to explore played an important role in artistic creation,which promoted the transformation of artistic language and the formation of style,and was an indispensable factor for the development of his figure painting.The article discussed the above relationship in detail in the cause of style.Shi Lu,as an innovator of Chinese painting,applied the expression of traditional brushwork to artistic creation and promoted the development of Chinese painting in the new historical period.On the road of modern painting from the integration of Chinese and Western to the development of national painting,completed the modern transformation of traditional painting.The Loess Plateau culture has influenced the formation of Shi Lu brushwork style,which is part of the foundation of Shi Lu culture.Old works give new ideas is the sublimation of Shi Lu’s art.He moves from the study of painting ontology language to the thinking of spiritual ontology,from the expression of the external world seen to the understanding of the inner world,which highlights the role of Shi Lu’s individual value and subject consciousness in painting,and reflects the influence of the May Fourth Spirit in Shi Lu’s life course.Shi Lu’s cultural foundation has influenced his painting thought and artistic spirit,which plays an important role in shaping his style.The formation of personalized artistic language has an inherent logical relationship with spiritual experience,and the background of The Times is also an important factor in the formation of style.The study of this subject is helpful for practitioners to think about the relationship between cultural foundation,historical background,individual spirit and style formation,which has certain practical significance for the exploration and practice of current figure painting. |
