| Zhou Zuoren,as a writer,thinker,translator,educator,and folklorist,was active during the May 4th period and until the middle of the 20 th century.He pioneered the idea of "human literature" and once became the "leader of the northern literary world".He was highly respected by young scholars during the May 4th period and had a far-reaching impact.However,he also became a national sinner due to his adherence,his reputation was ruined,and in his later years,he fell into a dilemma.Integrating the influence of traditional Chinese culture and Western civilization in him,his literary and artistic thoughts played a significant enlightening and pioneering role during the May 4th Movement,and their development and evolution also experienced historical shocks.The academic community has always had a lot of controversy over his thoughts,and the study of his literary and artistic thoughts has also experienced ups and downs in different stages.Today,standing in the perspective of "global civilization",studying Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic thoughts in a systematic way of thinking has multiple meanings such as literary innovation,cultural renaissance,and blending of understanding.The formation of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology is closely related to his translation activities.As far as translation is concerned,Zhou Zuoren’s translation and introduction activities can be roughly divided into two stages before and after liberation,and before liberation,they can be subdivided into two stages: the period before the May 4th Movement to the May 4th Movement and the 1930 s and 1940 s.In terms of scope,it can be clearly divided into three parts: ancient Greek literature,Japanese literature and European literature.From the perspective of time,the three also show a cross phenomenon.Among them,the translation and introduction of Greek and Japanese literature started earlier,but it really reached its peak after liberation.The translation and introduction of European literature were mainly concentrated before 1927.Although there were occasional references after that,Zhou Zuoren basically stopped this translation and introduction activity after 1936.After the founding of New China,Zhou Zuoren only translated the Ukrainian Fairy Tales and the Russian Fairy Tales,two works related to European literature,and translated and published the Xianke Weizhi Short Stories Collection in cooperation with Shi Zhecun.In addition,he wrote the novel of Pei Duofei.In addition,he spent all his energy on the translation of ancient Greek literature and Japanese classical literature.Therefore,the translation and introduction of Greek literature undoubtedly played an important role in the construction of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology.This paper focuses on the construction of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology.On the basis of combing the development context of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology and the course of Greek literature translation activities,this paper analyzes the historical roots and new changes of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic outlook and translation outlook,as well as the contradictory and divisive characteristics of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology itself and the significance of literary history.The key and difficult point of this study is to explore the relationship between Zhou Zuoren’s construction of literary and artistic ideology and his translation and introduction of Greek literature,explore the construction mechanism of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology,and find the integrity and contradiction of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology from this point of view.This is also the innovation of this paper.In addition to the introduction and appendix,this paper is divided into seven chapters.In the first chapter,the concept connotation and construction dimension of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic thought system are controlled from the perspective of system theory.On the basis of the existing research results and literature materials,the conceptual connotation and construction dimensions of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic thought system are refined,that is,"human literature" is the theoretical cornerstone,"art school of life" is the action program,"aristocratic literature" is the temperament core,and "aspiration" is the external element.Secondly,it analyzes the complex interaction between the theme selection(synchronic research),development and evolution(diachronic research)of Zhou Zuoren’s Greek literature translation and introduction and the construction of his literary and artistic ideology,and explores the deep influence of Greek cultural spirit and literary ideology on Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology.This chapter is the general part of this paper.The second to fifth chapters respectively discuss the reflection relationship between Zhou Zuoren’s translation of Greek literature and his four dimensions of literary and artistic ideology("human literature","aristocratic literature","artistic school of life" and "expressing ambitions"),and discuss in detail the connotation of basic concepts,Zhou Zuoren’s acceptance of Greek spirit through translation,and Zhou Zuoren’s reflection of literary and artistic ideology in his works.Among them,the second chapter mainly discusses the theoretical core of Zhou Zuoren’s "human literature" : individualistic human departmentalism,and combines Zhou Zuoren’s Greek translation activities to explore the theoretical support of Greek mythology for "human literature" and the influence of the concept of "human literature" on Zhou Zuoren’s translation.The third chapter mainly discusses the reflection of Zhou Zuoren’s "art school of life" thought and the secular spirit and beauty loving spirit in Greek literature.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the relationship between Zhou Zuoren’s "literary nobility" and Greek cultural thought,and analyzes the digestion and iteration from "civilian literature" to "aristocratic literature" and then to "literary nobility".The fifth chapter mainly discusses the similarities between Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic concept of "expressing ambition" and Greek literature,and analyzes Zhou Zuoren’s role transformation from a lonely hermit to a wise man with a "disease of vanity" based on the Dialogue Collection of Lucianos.The sixth chapter,from the perspective of translation and dialectics,analyzes the overall complexity of Zhou Zuoren’s translation and introduction of Greek literature and the construction of his literary and artistic ideology,focusing on Zhou Zuoren’s domestication and alienation of Greek spirit in the construction of his literary and artistic ideology,as well as the contradictions and divisions within Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology.This chapter attempts to achieve innovative results in the study of the contradiction and split of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic ideology.Chapter seven discusses the significance of translation and introduction of Greek literature and the construction of Zhou Zuoren’s literary ideology in literary history.This paper distinguishes and analyzes the historical and cultural connotation of Zhou Zuoren’s literary and artistic thought changes,the re evaluation of the value of the core concept of "human literature",and the significance and limitations of the translation and introduction of Greek literature on the construction of contemporary Chinese literary and artistic thought system.The appendix of this article includes a chronology of Zhou Zuoren’s translation and literary activities.By sorting through the timeline,it is possible to clearly compare Zhou Zuoren’s translation focus and theme shift in different periods,and infer the inseparable interactive relationship between his literary and artistic thought evolution and translation activities.
