The sinicization of Marxist theory of artistic production not only constitutes an important theoretical form of Marxist literary theory,but it is also an important theoretical topic in the history of the development of Chinese Marxist literary and art theory.On the whole,Chinese scholars paid more attention to Marx’s own ideas on artistic production;in constructing the Chinese Marxist theory of artistic production,Marx’s original texts played a decisive role.This paper combines the history of problems and strives to comprehensively show the process of acceptance of Marx’s ideas on artistic production in China and the development of these ideas in combination with the context of Chinese reality.The first chapter focuses on understanding and interpreting of the theoretical connotation of artistic production theory by Chinese scholars around Marx’s "artistic production" concept.Marx’s ideological views on artistic production are the theoretical origin of Marxist artistic production theory research in China.There are roughly three paths for Chinese scholars to interpret Marx’s "artistic production" concept.First,it explores the theoretical advantages of the concept of "artistic production" as a practical category over the theory of artistic reflection and the theory of artistic ideology;the second is to focus on the interpretation of "artistic production" as a historical category,and conduct an in-depth analysis of the historical form of "artistic production" and the connotation of artistic production based on Marx under capitalist conditions;the third is to put the concept of"artistic production" in Marx’s overall ideological and theoretical system for investigation.From the "new era" 21st century to the last ten years,these three interpretive paths have dominated successively.The rich theoretical connotation of Marx’s concept of "artistic production" has been unfolded through the investigation and analysis of these three different paths.Chinese scholars’ understanding of Marx’s "artistic production" concept has become more in-depth and comprehensive.The second chapter focuses on Chinese scholars’ research on Marx’s theoretical proposition of "the imbalance between artistic production and material production".The study of the imbalanced relationship between the development of artistic production and material production runs through the development of Chinese Marxist artistic production theory.Before the mid-nineties of the last century,Chinese scholars’ research on this issue was more of a polemical theoretical posture,focusing on the connotation and law of imbalance theory;after the mid-nineties of the last century,the research on imbalance theory was relatively scattered,but scholars have a more unique perspective and a deeper understanding of the problem.The research perspective shows changes from "outside to inside" and "from general to special",and there is a shift to the perspective of "anthropology".The third chapter focuses on the research of Chinese scholars on the problem of artistic production under the conditions of market economy based on Marx’s relevant expositions.The study of artistic production theory in the field of the market economy reflects the efforts to combine Marx’s theory of general production and artistic production with the context of China’s socialist market economy.It mainly focuses on the issue of literary and artistic commodity,the development of socialist art industry,and the problem of artistic production in the context of consumption.Among them,the issue of literary and artistic commodity is the logical starting point of the research on artistic production theory in the context of the Chinese market economy.The attention to the industrialization trend of socialist artistic production constitutes the most characteristic content of the Chinese artistic production theory.On the issue of consumption,Chinese scholars have carried out theoretical explorations on sinicization from several aspects,such as the relationship between consumption theory and artistic production theory,the problem of art production and art consumption in the era of consumption,and the theoretical expansion of Marx’s artistic production theory in the age of consumption.Through these studies,Chinese scholars have initially constructed a theory of artistic production under the conditions of the socialist market economy.The fourth chapter summarizes the new breakthroughs made by Chinese scholars in studying artistic production theory based on Marx’s relevant expositions after entering the 21st century.At this stage,Chinese scholars opened up two new problem areas in studying Marxist artistic production theory,namely the technical and critical turns of artistic production theory research.The research on artistic production theory from the perspective of technical problems mainly focuses on the relationship between technology and art,the theoretical construction of the technical dimension of artistic production theory,and the specific artistic production practice in the new technology era.The research on artistic production theory from the perspective of criticism has penetrated the field of literary criticism,and a productive criticism theory with Chinese characteristics has been preliminarily constructed from several aspects,such as the theoretical genealogy,basic principles,and fundamental problems of productive criticism theory.In the theoretical construction of these two problem domains,on the one hand,Chinese scholars have fully explored the connotation of Marx’s relevant expositions of the times.On the other hand,it fully combines China’s current social context and artistic production practice,opening up a new realm of research on Chinese Marxist artistic production theory.The conclusion is partly based on the entire process of sinicization of the study of artistic production theory under the influence of Marx’s artistic production theory,focusing on the diachronic clues in it,from the development of four major theoretical issues,the transformation of theoretical focus from "front" to "back" and from "outside" to "inside",and the change of attitude to the same theoretical issue,showing the importance of the principle of"practice first" in the process of theoretical research of Chinese scholars,and pointed out the enlightening significance of this principle for the future theory of Chinese literature and art.
