Study On Xi Jinping’s Important Discourse On Revolutionary Culture In The New Era

At the conference celebrating the 95 th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping clearly put forward: "Cultural self-confidence is a more fundamental,broader and deeper self-confidence.The excellent Chinese traditional culture nurtured in the development of civilization for more than 5,000 years,the revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture nurtured in the great struggle of the Party and the people,accumulate the deepest spiritual pursuit of the Chinese nation and represent the unique spiritual identity of the Chinese nation." Since the 18 th Party Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping has attached great importance to the inheritance and protection of revolutionary culture,and made a series of important speeches on why and what kind of revolutionary culture is inherited under the new situation,as well as how to inherit revolutionary culture.From the height of strategic deployment,these discourses have built up a framework system of Xi Jinping’s important discourses on revolutionary culture in the new era,which all reflect the breadth of his vision and political depth.Xi Jinping’s important discourse on revolutionary culture in the new era is a theoretical system with scientificity,integrity and comprehensiveness,based on the inheritance of cultural thoughts from classic Marxist writers and the strategic height of the unprecedented changes of the century and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.While maintaining the theoretical characteristics of the same lineage,this theoretical system has fully absorbed the national characteristics and features of the times,and has truly kept pace with the times.Regarding the study of this discourse,scholars in the academic field have conducted certain explorations and formed a number of representative research results,but they basically analyze a certain aspect of this discourse,lacking a holistic and systematic research perspective.In this thesis,after collecting and organizing a series of important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping on revolutionary culture,we focus on its main content and core meaning,summarize and refine the basic features and values of the times,and present the basic context of this important discourse in a comprehensive and complete way.First,the four horizontal elements of basic concept,main connotation,manifestation and basic characteristics are selected to expound the basic theory of revolutionary culture.Taking the history of revolution as the entry point,we clarify the core meaning,value purpose,and original expression of revolutionary culture,clarify and define the material,spiritual,and institutional forms of revolutionary culture,as well as the characteristics of thorough revolutionary,prominent class,extensive mass,and distinctive era,and build a basic analytical framework,which lays an important support for the in-depth development of this study.Second,the conditions for the formation of Xi Jinping’s important thesis on revolutionary culture in the new era are clarified.The theoretical basis and ideological origin of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on revolutionary culture in the new era are elaborated by taking the relevant discourses of classical Marxist writers as the theoretical origin,the discourses of major leaders of the Chinese Communist Party on revolutionary culture as the theoretical radius,and the historical accumulation of revolutionary culture in the excellent Chinese traditional culture and Xi Jinping’s personal practice.On this basis,the necessity and urgency of Xi Jinping’s important discourse on revolutionary culture in the new era are pointed out,based on the inevitable choice of enhancing the country’s cultural soft power,the inevitable requirement of comprehensively building a modern socialist cultural power,and the practical background of promoting the strict governance of the Party in realistic positioning of revolutionary culture are summarized.It includes that revolutionary culture is an important part of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics,a unique spiritual identity of the Chinese nation,a source of political culture within the Communist Party of China,and a spiritual origin of cultural confidence.Secondly,it summarizes General Secretary Xi Jinping’s discussion on the connotation and significance of revolutionary culture,and mainly selects five aspects of revolutionary history,revolutionary cultural relics,revolutionary spirit,revolutionary morality and revolutionary ideals.Once again,the content of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s discourse on the main functions of revolutionary culture is analyzed.It contains that revolutionary culture provides powerful power support for achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,provides a powerful source of power for the Party’s self-revolution in the new era,provides rich nourishment for cultivating socialist core values,and provides strong spiritual guidance for strengthening the army and raising it.Lastly,the thesis of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the path of promoting revolutionary culture is concisely distilled from four aspects: strengthening the linkage construction,strengthening the inheritance and protection of revolutionary culture;relying on theme education,activating the function of connoting and nurturing revolutionary culture;deepening industrial integration,enriching the innovative carrier of revolutionary culture;and gathering the main forces,bringing into play the value leadership of revolutionary culture,thus forming a complete theoretical closed loop.Fourth,it reveals the basic features and contemporary values of Xi Jinping’s
