A Study On The Organization Of "She" In Southern Shanxi From The Perspective Of Village Rituals

The "She" is a form of village social organization mediated by blood,geography and belief.It is a stable and interactive community of people formed based on people’s daily interactions,habits,and common interests and needs.A unit for self-management and service around village etiquette affairs and public affairs.The "She" organizations in Southern Shanxi,were born out of farming culture and play an important role in village rituals,festivals,rituals,and social fire activities,and are closely related to village folk life.The study is based on local literature and field research.This thesis examines the "She" organizations in Southern Shanxi from the perspective of village rituals,rooted in local literature and field research,and focuses on the ritual practices,local networks,and connotations of the "She" organizations to answer the question of "rituals and She".The system of "She" organizations in Southern Shanxi is divided into two categories: joint-village She and multi-village She,with joint-village "She" organizations usually centered on temples and constituting local faith networks.As history progressed,the integrity of northern villages became more and more concentrated,and the phenomenon of multiple communities in one village was more common in large,regular villages.The types of "She" organizations in Southern Shanxi can be divided from the perspectives of blood,geography,and faith,but blood,geography,and faith are often intertwined in villages and mapped on the "She" organizations,making the "She" organizations present complex patterns.The "She" organization takes on a complex form.Village rituals in Southern Shanxi are closely related to the practices of the "She" organizations and interact with each other.Village rituals are the environmental elements for the creation,development and inheritance of the "She" organization,and they are the important spatial qualities for its practice,and the practice of the "She" organization is the practice of rituals.The rituals of beliefs,life rituals and festivals constitute the basic content of village ritual life and the folklore domain under the jurisdiction of the "She".In the process of periodic ritual and customary practices,the community establishes an image of ritual and customary authority in the village society and strengthens its position in the village pattern.In the family and village environment,the "She" organization constructs local networks at different levels,and at the same time constructs its own practice patterns,in which collaboration,strife and order become the presentation of relationships.Under the influence of the "She" organization,village social relations and their interactions contribute to the integration of village rituals and customs.At the same time,the "She" organization becomes a growing,dynamic and pluralistic local organization,which constructs new norms of village social values on the basis of the continuation of traditional rituals and practices.Specifically,the intervention of the "She" organizations has renewed the relationships and practices,symbols and norms in the local network,which is the demand and motivation for the development of the "She" organizations themselves and the key to the maintenance and transmission of the ritual order in the village society.Whether it is the various practices within the "She" organization or the actions and concepts in the village ritual environment,the "She" organization,with "ritual" as its inner characteristic,always maintains the "ritual" of the village The "She" organization,which is characterized by "rituals",has always maintained its "pursuit" of village ritual traditions and order.From the point of view of the ritual function of the "She",for its members,from the past to the present,the people have never ceased to be interested in the "She" as a "folklore colony" and "ritual organization".In the local network constructed by the "She" organization,the "She" as a ritual tradition constructs and shapes the village life.From the development of the "She" organization,it can be seen that the "She" organization continues to be a vernacular system characterized by village ritual and customary governance,which is a concentrated expression of folk wisdom,experience,values and emotions.In the current village society,behind the practice of the "She" organization is the "ritual authority" in the village,which,together with the legal authority represented by the two village committees,builds the village authority pattern.As a folk self-governing organization in Southern Shanxi villages,the "She" was responsible for matters related to people’s rituals of life,beliefs and festivals,and within this scope,people realized a common sense of belonging to the meaning of life and the value of beliefs.Thus,it can be understood that the "She" organization is embedded in the social life of the people,and behind it lies the logic of folklore operation and the logic of people’s life,and the "She" becomes a ritual tradition with certain cultural tension.At the same time,the "She" organization shows its significance as a comprehensive ritual community,i.e.,its role in civil education,order balance,and cultural transmission,demonstrating authority and order internally and manifesting the culture of the "She" and the image of the village externally.The "She" organizations in Southern Shanxi are an important part of the village governance system.They are autonomous organizations established by the people based on their production and living needs,and they perform ritual affairs and play a role in the village.The "She" organization is a living cultural heritage in Southern Shanxi village society.The interpretation of its historical evolution,operation practice and relationship with local society can provide theoretical considerations of certain value for the study of village living organizations
