Contemporary artists are increasingly paying attention to the integration of audiovisual and visual forms,constantly trying to introduce music language and visual language into each other,making their rhythmic forms in the spatial structure of images more diverse and diverse,thereby achieving better integration and dialogue between music and visual language,and expanding new contexts of audiovisual expression.In terms of the transformation of traditional artists,artists represented by Oskar Fischinger experienced two industrial revolutions.During this period,artists,as the original productive forces of artistic creation,began to transform and gradually formed a trend of interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary creation.The qualitative change in creative tools has directly brought about a complex demand for the creative process and way of thinking,and more and more artists,inventors,and scientists have overlapping identities.Oskar Fischinger himself has studied music,painting,and mechanical engineering,and has multiple identities such as a filmmaker,animation special effects artist,and painter.This also sets him apart from traditional artists in terms of creative thinking.His works not only have artistry but also logic,reflecting the thinking characteristics of the integration of arts and sciences.Oskar Fischfinger’s creative process can be interpreted as a process of "abstract symbols(emotional thinking)-digitization(rational thinking)-audio-visual images(thinking fusion)".The digitization part is highly like the current computer programming process and different from traditional art.The new generation of artists most need to overcome it,Part of achieving disciplinary transformation.Studying his creative process can provide a better understanding of the process by which early composite artists switched their thinking patterns and the new demands placed on contemporary technology for work creation.In terms of humanities and artistry,Oskar Fischinger used the simplest visual language and various kinds of music to create works with distinctive artistic characteristics.On the contrary,the Chat GPT drawing function of today’s fire can instantly generate high-quality pictures such as "busy traffic","Fuqi Feipian(Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chilli Sauce)",but the reason why it still cannot be an art is the lack of interpretation of the inherent humanistic meaning of words such as "busy traffic","Fuqi Feipian(Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chili Sauce)",etc.The images directly present straightforward content such as lung organs,vehicles,animals,rivers,etc.,resulting in a hilarious viewing effect.In contrast,although Oskar Fischinger used the simplest abstract symbols of triangles,squares,and circles as his main visual images,he invested a huge amount of effort in coordinating colors,compositions,movements,and various elements in music language.Not only did Oskar Fischinger achieve a high degree of synchronization in audiovisual emotions,but he also created many classic clips that complement each other.In terms of truth content,audio-visual language has also been transformed into symbols,providing effective artistic implications.For example,in "An Optical Poem",the ethnic music combined with Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody,the three-dimensional square and circle respectively reflect the competition between male and female ethnic groups,and the combination of pilgrimage style composition and color reflects the ritual socialization movement.These are all humanities and arts that cannot be independently achieved by current audio-visual integration algorithms.Contemporary computer technology can present small details in the results of artists’ works,analyze,and highly reproduce them,but cannot reproduce or recreate artistic inspiration and humanistic content.This is also the reason why artificial intelligence emotional learning is widely concerned today.This paper takes Oskar Fischinger,the master of abstract animation,as the research object,and makes a symbolic interpretation of audio-visual aesthetics on his 25 works.The aim is to study the abstract animation audio-visual art itself,rather than simply interpreting works.The exploration and research of Oskar Fischinger ’s artistic proposition is through defining the content of his audio-visual experiments and identifying the characteristics and value of his "artistic" character.The study first explored the specific ability of traditional music and abstract graphics to recombine information in audio-visual thinking,such as the synesthesia effect of sound and color,the multi combination correspondence between music language and animation form,the audiovisual similarity between music language and gesture action posture,the dynamic support of music on the temporal dimension of fragmented dynamic images,and matching strategies for real-time interaction between early sound,abstract images,and tactile control The sound and picture functions in early immersive audiovisual experiences have revealed the practical significance of musical and visual representations in experimental audiovisual works.Secondly,from the perspective of cognitive psychology and the background of modernist art,a thorough analysis was conducted on the content and form of Oskar Fischinger ’s works.Summarized four characteristics and two types of aesthetic structures in the abstract film aesthetics of the Oskar Fischinger experiment;We have compared and demonstrated the differences between Oskar Fischinger ’s works and other abstract films from four directions;Four typical features of Oskar Fischinger ’s works have been verified from both cognitive and emotional dimensions.Finally,through several cases of extension with abstract animation as the main body,this paper makes a cross comparison with Oskar Fischinger’s works and summarizes the enlightenment influence of Oskar Fischinger’s works on these extension forms from the perspective of Functionalism,and the fundamental reason why contemporary high-tech tools cannot surpass the artistry in Fichenger’s works.
