Research On The "Authenticity" Of Contemporary Literary Prose

The "authenticity" of literary prose is an important issue that the literary prose creation and theoretical research should face squarely,involving many styles,levels,links and elements.At the textual level,it contains how literary prose can be distinguished from instrumental practical article and fictional novel,and goes deep into the stylistic level to reasonably explain the "fictional" phenomenon,the "emotional" problem and the "intellectual" characteristics of literary prose;On a deeper level,it requires to further clarify the internal relationship between the "authenticity" of narratology,it can be seen that the fundamental difference between the authenticity and fiction of "generalized prose" text lies in the nature of relationship between the "narrator" and his narrative behavior and the "implied author" and his creative psychological process.The history of traditional "prose",the history of novel and many important classical literary theories can prove that the "authenticity" of traditional "prose",including literary prose,is different from fiction in that the "narrator" and his narrative behavior in traditional "prose" constitute a authentic reflection of the "implied author" and his creative psychological process,referred to as "authentic narrative behavior".The "narrator" and his narrative behavior in the fiction do not constitute a authentic reflection of the "implied author" and his creative psychological process,which is called "fictitious narrative behavior".The second meaning of the "authenticity" of literary prose is "literary authenticity",which is sublimated from the "authentic narrative behavior" of traditional "prose".It has become the internal condition for modern literary prose to differentiate and transcend from the category of traditional "prose",and it is also its unique character independent from fiction and all fictional literature based on "fictitious narrative behavior".The "literary authenticity" of literary prose contains many narrative features,such as unfolding the text from the dominant first person narrative perspective,inversely molding the "implied author" personality image,and the "zero distance" realism between the reader and the author.The determination of narratological basis for the distinction between literary prose and fiction provides a new perspective and analytical method for investigating the essence of the phenomenon of mutual penetration between narrative literary prose and fiction and analyzing its interpenetration types.The "authenticity" requirement of literary process of literary prose creation,the implied author mainly uses the expression methods of "lyricism" and "reasoning" with the function of cohesion and expression to project the subject consciousness to the main outer layer "narrator" in a relatively concentrated and stable manner,so as to create the nature that the "narrator" image authentically reflects the "implied author" image;In the process of fiction creation,the implied author dispersedly and continuously projects the subject consciousness to one "narrator" or different "narrators" by means of "narration" and "description" with differentiation and reproduction function,so that no "narrator" in the text can constitute a direct and authentic reflection of the implied author.The substantial difference between literary prose and fiction in the projection of subject consciousness determines that the "narrative voice" in literary prose text has the contradiction of dominance and subordination,monism and pluralism;The dominant "narrative voice" of the "narrator" as the authentic reflection of implied author is diffused into the "literary tone" of literary prose,which is typically reflected in literary lyrical prose and
