Electrical prospecting is one of traditional geophysical exploration methods. It has been widely applied in fields of geological examination, water controlling, mining exploration, et al. Having higher horizontal resolution of electrical profiling and higher vertical resolution of electrical sounding, resistivity tomography has become an important of geoscience CT that have had seismic wave tomography and electromagnetic wave tomography. It has been carried out in 2-D and 2.5-D numerical calculation and practical materials, and applied in hydrology, archaeology, engineering, mineral resource survey, whether in theoretical research or in practical application. Geological conditions is complex and diverse, and the same as arrangement. In this paper, through combining numerical simulation and actual application underground, systemly summarized the characteristic of response apparent electrical resistivity of different configuration arrange in 2D surface, and drew some significant conclusions.First, it analyzed and discussed the basic principles and concepts of resistivity method, characteristics of current field in the entire space of coal mine and conventional array. Then through numerical simulation, it established a variety of horizontal and vertical model. Through finite difference and finite element method forward modeling, inversion use the computer program which was based on the smooth constrained least squares method. Compared the inversion results and the model were established, draw conclusions of the characteristics of apparent resistivity of different devices for the same abnormal geological body, and the response characteristics of the same device for different abnormal geological body. Finally, through the actual underground experiment, it verified the correctness of the conclusion. By contrast, which arrangement or combination should be use to the different abnormal geological body in the future, it will have great significance.
