MyBioNet is a Web-based network visualization application tool, allowing users to visualize, edit, merge biological networks and to browse the metabolic networks from KEGG. It uses Flash platform, which ensures quicker load speed and much more user-friendly than other Web application platforms, like Java plugin.Mybionet is implemented in Flex/Actionscript, MySQL, PHP and Apache etc.. The front client end is developed using Flex/Actionscript. The database management on the server end is MySQL and the dynamic programs on the server end are accomplished by PHP.Mybionet is running on the Apache web server and is freely available at http://bis.zju.edu.cn/mybionet. All major browsers with Flash plugin installed are supported.Using MyBioNet, for one thing users can intuitively visualize their biological networks; for another, users can readily edit and correct their networks. What's more users can find common functional modules between networks through network merging. MyBioNet integrated KEGG metabolic networks data covering 1366 organisms. Besides query service, Users can merge their networks with KEGG for the purpose of validating and expanding their data.
