The objective area in the paper is Shu25-Shang2 blocks to the east of Yushuling oil-field, in which the Yangdachengzi oil layer is the target layer. Based on comprehensive utilization of geology, well logging, coring and analysis of testing data, the reservoir characteristics and favorable area prediction have been studied by multi-disciplinary theoretical and methodological techniques.Based on the analyses of data about drills and loggings and previous research results, the four middle-term sequences of Sq1, Sq2, Sq3 and Sq4 are identified with the high-resolution sequence stratigraphy method. According to the sequence identification, 6 sandstone groups and 22 small layers are identified as well.On the basis of research on sequence stratigraphic division, the distribution feature of sandbody and sedimentary micro-facies of Yangdachengzi oil layer in Shu25-Shang2 blocks are systematically studied. The reservoir of Yangdachengzi oil layer deposited in meandering river and delta front sub-facies. The deposits in the study area mainly came from northwest and north, so most of the sandbodies lie in the northern and the central, little in the southern, and in profile, with bad consistency, the sandbody mainly developed in the lower of Layers Yâ… and Yâ… .According to analysis of four characteristics about the reservoir, including lithology, physical properties, oil-bearing and electricproperty, all the sandstone groups composed of dry layers, and Layers Yâ… and Yâ…¡are the main oil layers. The porosity ranges from 2.5% to 25.5% with average 11.5%, and the permeability ranges from 0.01mD to 6.92mD with average 0.71mD. Reservoir physical property developed better in the north and the central than that in the south, and influenced by particle size and sedimentary micro-facies.Based on the analyses of sedimentary characteristics and physical property of the reservoir, four favorable reservoir areas named Block Shu25-2,Block Shu 29,Block Shu 9 and Block Shu 321 are predicted with fuzzy mathematical method.
