In recent years, physics-based algorithm for fluid simulation has been caused more and more attention of researchers, and gradually became one of the top topics of recent years'researching for computer graphics and virtual reality technology due to the development of computer hardware and computer graphics. The main content of this article is to focus on physics-based simulation of water. The work of this paper is:1. The smoothed particle hydrodynamics which is for the particle-based simulation water has been study in depth, and its basic algorithm has been extended to solve the interaction between virtual water and static or dynamic entities, while the basic algorithm of smooth particle hydrodynamics and its extension to computer program have been designed and implemented.2. The SWE water surface described via Height Field has been introduced for the large and medium scale water surface in virtual scene and its extended algorithm was introduced to enable it to adapt to the needs of a variety of terrain. Computer programs for water surface simulation of the basic SWE algorithm has been designed and implemented.3. For the SPH water body can not simulate large and medium scale water bodies efficiently, while the SWE surface there is a lack of water for small-scale expressive features, an algorithm which is based on mass conservation and momentum conservation will be to combine the two has been proposed. This algorithm make the SPH small water drop is absorbed by the SWE water surface. This algorithm computer program have been designed and implemented.
