Plasma technology is being increasingly used for production and life. The surface-modification technique of materials by low temperature plasma is a convenient and clean material processing technology. It is not easily affected by environment and the kinds of materals,and has been applicated popularly.Generally speaking, polystyrene(PS) is hydrophobic. In this paper,plasma modified the polystyrene(PS) directly at atmospheric pressure.Through measure the surface contact angle, find it is evidently decreased after modification.Then, material surface modification is classified researched at atmospheric pressure and vacuum.As a kind of thermoresponsive material, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm)has been used for drug release, material separation, immobilized enzyme and so on. Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm)is usually synthesized with chemical methods.Here,we attempted to synthesize it with a physical method.Through plasma polymerize, while argon carries the monomer of N-isopropylacrylamide into regional reaction, got the polymer of N-isopropylacrylamide on Polystyrene (PS) and glass slides.Using FT-IR spectrum,contact angle,scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) means testing analyse the composition of the films. Found there was a layer of film on the surface of the substrate. By scanning electron microscopy (SEM), the surface of the observed that the film show meshy or strip structure. Using infrared spectral analysis,'found at the location of 3257cm-'and 1655cm-1 appeared N-H key characteristic peak. Using the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyze the composition of the film.found the Nitrgen was introduced.Using the contact angle goniometer measure the contact angle of the film with the change in temperature, found for different test points, the contact angle between 32 and 37℃has a mutation, this means that there was an phase transformation at this location.In order to simplify the procedure of doing experiment,I designed a set of materials processing equipment.Using the equipment can realize continuous treatment.to materials at different pressure.In order to sdudy temperature-sensitivity of materials, I designed a set of temperature control device.
