Research Of CPT Magnetometer

Considering the purpose of researching and designing the magnetometer, we first described their application examples and the future application field, including geomagnetism detection, minerals searching, medical research, military reconnaissance and so on. Then list some kinds of magnetometer people are using now.Next, this article describes the main directions of the magnetometer design and principle of the atomic magnetometer. Then we know there are many kinds of atomic magnetometer and here are two examples. In view of the meaning and aim of our working in the field of magnetometer design, we decide to research a kind of magnetometer which bases on the CPT phenomenon.And then, we discuss the theoretical basis of the CPT phenomenon, as well as some of the work we have done now, including building experimental device, and two steps of experiments. And we mention some other possible options for the experiment.Finally, considering the need of high sensitivity, it is necessary to discuss the influencing factor of sensitivity. The main way is to improve the capability of some devices, including narrowing the linewildth of the laser, filling buffer gas into the rubidium glass bubble, heating the rubidium, and improving the optical stability.
