At present, The majority phase achievements of China's coal production units and its design departments for managing gas geology information is a CAD format drawing of electronic data and the output of its paper based forms, so departments using gas geology information data is relatively independent, and its easily lost and difficult to share, leading to the results of management for mine gas geology information confusion. Meanwhile,the efficiency and model of traditional gas geology information management are also unable to meet the needs of society and can not directly reflect the implied gas geology in the law between the data. These issues are coal production units and its design departments need to be resolved.GIS technology into the coal enterprise, application of GIS technology to analysis and process the gas geology information data of CAD format, and make full use of GIS spatial analysis function on gas geology information of the space and attribute data management, making implicit gas geology regularity to implement visual expresson, combined with human-machine interaction design and production process to achieve the rapid optimization of gas control programs and decision-making, greatly improving the safety of coal production. This research focuses on applied research, based on the analysis of gas geology theory and the preparation of gas geology map of the principle and function, the comprehensive using of computer technology, database technology and geographical information system based theories and methods, and deepen the gas geology information digitization management, making management of gas geology data information more intuitive, to achieve the law of gas geology information graphics, visualization;Completed the gas geology map based on AutoCAD format to ArcGIS format data conversion; On the basis of analysising the gas geology graphic elements, completed spatial information structure table and attributes information structure table and the establishment of a database of gas geology based on ArcGIS, lay the foundation such as spatial analysis and query functions for gas geology data. With Visual Studio 2008+ArcGIS Engine as a development tool, in the ArcSDE+Oracle database support by using C# programming language realized gas geology information network management,sharing,query,spatial analysis and thematic map analysis base on C/S,and other functions.Combination of these research results,taking gas geology map of PingMei ten mine as application examples,describing in detail the application of each function,which has obtain a better effect.
