In order to study the climate characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer of Qingdao,this research uses a long sequence of uppe-air sounding data of Qingdao.Based on the statistical analysis on wind direction, wind speed, temperature, humidity, the vertical and long-term climate distribution characteristics of atmospheric boundary layer as well as the inversion characteristics are obtained,and the differences and similarities to measure wind are analyzed between the wind profile radar and sounding station in Qingdao. It will provide the reference to the research on atmospheric boundary layer and atmospheric pollution in Qingdao and coastal areas in Shandong province in the future.Firstly, based on the L-band informationed uppe-air sounding data from 2004 to 2009,analyzing the value in detail from 0~1500m altitude for each interval of 50m, wind direction,wind speed,temperature and humidity values are carried out,so the vertical climate characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer of Qingdao are given.The average frequency distribution of wind direction in the morning almost the same as in the evening.In the morning most wind directions to the N wind,the frequency is 11.12%,NNW wind next best, the frequency is 10.66%.The prevailing wind direction with height is not particularly significant in the morning,mainly basic to the N,NNW wind.In the evening the prevailing wind direction with height relatively has larger changes,below 400m the S wind is much more,and above 400m the N,NNW, NW winds gradually increased.The seasonal wind speed profile basically increases with height.Below 300m in the morning and below 200m in the evening are basically consistent with the distribution rule of the exponent.In the morining and the evening temperature follows basically along with the rule which elevates highly reduces.In the morning the change range of the temperature lapse rate is smaller than it in the evening.In the morning,the average temperature lapse rate fluctuations in the range of 0.10~0.48℃/100m,and in the evening it of 0.12~0.53℃/100m.Seasonal humidity decreases with height,on the same height,the maximum humidity apperarances in summer,the autumn next best,then spring,least in winter.The average humidity rate of change along with height is between 4~1%/100m,and humidity is lower in the evening than it in the morning.The analysis on the long-term climate characteristics of Qingdao uses sounding datas from 1981 to 2009,and the datas from 1981 to 2003 use the prescribed height(ground,300m,600m,900m) wind direction,wind speed,the prescribed isobaric surface(ground,1000hpa,850hpa,700hpa) temperature datas.The wind and temperature datas rules from 2004 to 2009 are in accordance with the rules of that from 1981 to 2003.Obtained through analysis:from 1981 to 2009,in the morning the ground has 27 years to be in vogue the N wind,and other three layers have 18 years to be in vogue the N wind.Partial S wind is most on the ground in the evening in most years,and other mainly NNW wind.In the morning and evening,the distribution rule of the wind direction frequency is consistent on the prescribed height in the same season.In the same time and on the same height,the annual average wind speed in the morning is lower than in the evening,which reflects the strong urban thermal island circulation function,and wind speed on each prescribed height has almost the same change trend.Increases with height, wind speed in the smaller amplitude.The morning temperature is lower than it on the same isobaric surface in the evening,and in the morning and the evening four seasons temperature decreases with isobaric surface reducing.The long-term distribution of four seasons wind speed and temperature is consistent with the vertical distribution.Using the L-band temperature observation data from 2008 to 2009 on 8:00am and 8:00pm of Qingdao,the characteristics of the low-altitude inversion of Qingdao is analyzed,indicating that low-altitude inersion occurs in all seasons,and the frequency is the highest in the spring morning and evening, respectively is 20.2%,19.3%.Followed by winter,there is at least a frequency of 14.4% in the summer morning,and at least a frequency of 14.1% in the autumn evening.Except in summer,the inversion frequency is greater in the spring,autumn,winter morning than it in the evening. The average thickness of the ground inversion layer in the morning is thinner than it in the evening,respectively is 247.4m,256.8m,and the average thickness of the off-ground inversion layer in the morning is thicker than it in the evening,respectively is 300.8m,288.9m.In the spring morning and evening,more than four level inversion appears most,respectively is 96 times,101 times,which has the adverse on the urban air pollution dispersion. In Qingdao,within two years pollution is much heavier than light pollution (including light pollution) days for 65 days,and in winter and spring mild pollution of the days is more, respectively appears 30 days,19 days,in the summer it appears at least for 3 days.The analysis shows that:low-altitude inversion and air quality closely in Qingdao,and which has some reference value on the research on air pollution in Qingdao. In addition,based on the statistical analysis on the wind profile radar and sounding wind data from 2008 to 2009 in Qingdao finds that:correlation coefficient of wind speed at night are all less than 0.3.and it has a good correlation of wind speed between wind profile radar and sounding wind below 3000m in the morning and evening, average absolute deviation is also small.At night and the morning,it has a good consistency to wind direction between wind profile radar and sounding above 4000m,all with W wind direction primarily.In the evening,two observation ways of measured wind frequency distribution has remarkable consistency characteristics.The above analysis shows that:it has well correlation relationship between wind profile radar and sounding wind speed on some specific height range, and frequency distribution of wind direction also has a well consistency,but there are still many poor correlation in height or distribution of values significantly different, which probably because of time values of two observations do not completely consistent.In addition,as a result of disturbance of certain weather systems, resulting in wind profile radar wind field fluctuations and increase in wind with height data distortion, which causes distortion measureing wind datas to have the difference.
