Geochemical anomaly is shown in the form of geochemical indicator, and geochemical indicator is a kind of geochemical variable that can provide geological prospecting information, which can be measured directly or indirectly. With the increasing depth and difficulty of geological prospecting geochemical indicators are in a higher demand, and it is meaningful to explore new geochemical indicators to improve the success rate of prospecting. This paper takes the Wunugetushan porphyry copper-molybdenum deposit and Handagai skarn-type minetalized bodies and Kenshan multi-element anomalies (no mine verified) of Inner Mongolia as the research object, and do some research on the REE characteristics for the purpose of extraction of exploration geochemical indicators of mine-induced anomaly and no mine anomaly. Results are shown as follow:(1) Wunugetushan ore-forming fluid is characterized by lowEE, Eu/Sm and Eu* 100/ΣEE value, intense impoverishment in Eu and relatively enrichment in HREE, high Sm/Nd and Nd/Eu value. Kenshan altered hydrothermal is characterized by low Nd/Eu value, high Eu/Sm and Eu* 100/ΣEE andδEu value.(2) Eu/Sm, Sm/Nd,δEu andΣREE of core of Wunugetushan and Kenshan exist significant differences.(3) Chondrite-normalized REE patterns of driling core are differrent between porphyry deposit and skarn-type minetalized bodies. Core from skarn-type minetalized driling is enrichment in LREE and relatively impoverishment in HREE, and fractionation of LREE and HREE is obvious.(4) If REE are divided into three components, HREE (Er-Lu) are rich in porphyry mineralized bodies and the adjacent parts and LREE (La-Nd) are relatively rich in skarn-type mineralized bodies.(5) Iron and copper minetalization is generated by metasomatosis of ore-forming fluid and recognized as syngeneic relationship and it will be a indicatior for prospecting in the future.(6) Temperature of Handagai ore-forming fluid is high forδEu of ore having positive anomaly and iron ore is formed under the condition of relatively oxidation for it having intense positive anomaly Ce.(7) Our studies based on the whole system constituted by wall rocks and magmatic rock confirm hydrothermal current between them and believe current will draw mass metallogenic material from wall rocks and be very significant for mineralization.(8) Through the comparative study on the characteristic REE parameters of altered and unaltered rocks of Handagai, we infer that skarn-type ore-forming fluid is characterized by lowΣREE, relatively enrichment in HREE, highδCe and Nd/Eu value.REE inditors are plentiful and their denotative meaning for geological significance need be excavated. As new indicators of evaluating ore potentiality of geochemical anomalies, REE are beneficial to raise the level of the basic theory of the geochemical exploration methods.
