Making the most of multi-exploration data, such as precipitation data, Doppler rad,MICAPS and TWR01 weather radar data, macroscopic characteristics of convective clouds in summer and early hail cloud indicators are researched, using the statistical analysis methods to summarize spatial and temporal distribution and characteristics of hail weather situation; The results reveal the major characteristics of the top, intensity, etc. of summer convective cloud echo in Hubei Baokang, an average of echo top and echo intensity varying with time and correlations of echo top and 0℃level height, Meanwhile from the height of initial echo and the 45dBz echo the echo top got identify indicators of early hail cloud. Combined with hail reports on the ground, authors analyzed the weather background and radar data of two hailstorm weather in Baokang on 6 June and 26 August,2009. The results show that:(1) The hailstorm weather can be classified as four main patterns:northwest current type, subtropical high edge-type, subtropical high internal type and typeless, and northwest current type caused more hailstorms.(2) The biggest echo top of Baokang convective cloud mainly concentrated in 5-12km, more than and less than this position of convective precipitation were less;The season average echo intensity of convective precipitation were 38.6 dBz; an average of echo top and echo intensity varying with time and correlations of echo top and 0℃level height,the shock was stable, echo top of Convective precipitation was higher than 0℃level height 4.6km.(3) High altitude had low temperature, ground temperature growed fast, easy to cause the unstable atmosphere and hailstorm; Compared with the radar echo characteristics of hail cloud and thunder cloud, The position of initial echo and strong echo in the clouds and echo top of 45dBz that than or equal to 7.0km can be served as hail cloud index identify.(4) High altitude cold chamfer trough and low shear line were the main impact systems. Hail generated by the strong cell hail cloud,hail cloud echo have supercell echo characteristics. The initial radar echo high and development speed fast; the radar echo intensity showed spindle, low middle layer have WER; Hail process of June 6 found three-body scatter spike,Vert integrated liquid values before the hail falling has obvious response.
