Through high-throughput gene chip analysis in mice between parthenogenetic embryos and normal ones, subject group has found a set of differentially expressed genes, one of which was sequenced and confirmed as AI429618. It locates on mouse chromosome 1 and spans 7884 bp on genomic DNA. Current research on the gene is rarely reported.AI429618 expression patterns were characterized by Northern-blot and in situ hybridization to provide a foundation for the further research by investigates the expression pattern of this novel gene. A persistent expression was detected throughout 3 different stages of the embryonic development period. Among them E12.5 was highest and E18.5 was more or less the same with E15.5. In situ hybridization results showed that the gene expression signals in E9.5 mouse embryos are in the tongue, branchial arch and tail bud; for E10.5 the signals has extended to the midbrain, hind brain and hind limb bud. Slice in the E15.5 in situ hybridization showed that the signals extend to different parts of the body (forebrain, brain, tongue, heart, lung, liver, small intestine, intestine, gonad, skeletal muscle), which are particularly significant in the thymus, lung, liver, kidney, small intestine signal. All the evidence show this gene has a high expression profile in the early embryonic period and drops later with a wide expansion. It's suggested that this gene is related with the important function with embryo develepment.
