With nearly 20 years of development, Bamianhe oil field M12 which is structural-lithological reservoir has come into high water-cut stage. Affected by the sediment, petro physical property and heterogeneity, residual oil distribution is complex.The precision study, which includes reservoir geological characteristics and residual oil distribution, can effectively enhance oil recovery and improve development effect. This paper uses some information such as geology, seismic, logging, and production to describe reservoir and analyze residual oil distribution. Moreover, it can be used to make suitable development scheme in high water-cut stage. Firstly, Utilizing fine stratigraphic contrast and three-dimensional seismic interpretation techniques, we re-unification layer and identify the structure; use of sedimentary facies research techniques to determine a single sand microfacies and carry out detailed reservoir studies,S4 which is main develop offshore shoal bar sand and S3 which have delta front of underwater distributary channel, carry out the fine reservoir description. We can divide S3上51 into three flow unit that is S3上511,S3上512,S3上513. In vertical. Due to it, major reservoir sand of S4 gradually changed for the better in plane from west to east. On this basis, analysis of residual oil distribution by the focus application of a variety of inspection data in combination with dynamic analysis. In the plane, these regions enrich residual oil, which include driving water mainstream line between, faults nearby, well network not perfect regional, petro physical property becomes poor areas, underwater distributary channel for edge. In vertical, low reservoir producing degree and upper of positive rhythm reservoir have relatively rich residual oil. We can use horizontal well technology to develop residual oil in positive rhythm reservoir. And, it has a large significance for the potential tapping.
