Some achievements in precise orbit determination have been developed in China. However, real-time satellite precision orbit determination has not been investigated greatly yet. The research of satellite real-time precise orbit determination will contribute to the establishment of national area precision positioning service system in our country and the surrounding regions, as well as the development of China's high-precise real-time LEO satellite orbit determination technology. It'll promote the development in real-time application field, such as the real-time precise navigation and positioning, the low earth orbit satellite real-time precise orbit determination, early warning of the earthquake and tsunami, and real-time monitoring of space weather and so on.The present paper aims at the development of the precise real-time satellite orbit, and focuses on the following areas: the mathematics model and the algorithm of real–time orbit determination, software design and testing. Then we have the results derived from the software and from the batch algorithm compared and analysed. The concrete contents are as follows.Firstly, the paper summarizes the development and current situation of the satellite orbit determination in internal and internet field. From the scientific research and practical applications perspectives, it clarifies that the technology of precise real-time satellite orbit and clock offset determination needs developing urgently. The paper next gives a systematic research on the basis theories of the satellite precise orbit determination, including the coordinate reference system,the time reference system in orbit determination and their conversion. Then it takes the earth rotation parameters as an example, and it testifies the mutual convertion between the different coordinates in the real work. At the same time, the paper introduces the satellite's equations of motion and the perturbation models; the observation correction and linearization,the data preprocessing , the method of statistic orbit determination and especially the numerical integration.Finally, the paper has analysed and summarized the existing methods of the real-time orbit determination. And we achieved designing the software to realize high-precision orbit determination, based on UTOPIA with the extented sequential algorithm. By testing the real-time capacity of the software mentioned above from the mature batch algorithm with the real observations, and the accuracy of the method and the model, we can easily come to a conclusion that the software designed can obtain a quite highly precise orbit.
