Based on consulting a large number of documents, make full use of the core, welllogging, seismic and core analysis tests, etc. First, this thesis researched and analysed thestructural characteristics and ancient landscape of the study area, after that, through theapplication of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, reservoir geology and other newtechnologies and new methods, the sequence stratigraphy of the NO.3 Member of ShahejieFormation of the study area has been systematically studied, and the NO.3 Member ofShahejie Formation of the study area is divided into three long term cycles, that is the upperpart of Es3, the middle part of Es3 and the lower part of Es3, further the upper part of Es3 andthe middle part of Es3 were divided into four short term cycles, the lower part of Es3 wasdivided into two short term cycles. The results show that the main sedimentary facies of theNO.3 Member of Shahejie Formation from the western of Yong 8 district are delta anddeep water lake , the main sedimentary face of the upper part of Es3 is delta front, the mainsedimentary facies of the middle part of Es3 and the lower part of Es3is deep water lake, anddeposited some of the turbidites; the material sources of the study area are mainly from thenortheast of the Qingtuozi uplift, sand body gradually advancing from northeast to south andsouthwest, because of the wells of the western of the study area is too few, the distributionand control of the sedimentary facies is not ideal. The reservoir of the study area is mainly onthe delta sand body and turbidite sand body, reservoir pore mainly developed secondaryporosity, based intergranular, intragranular porosity, had some connection with carbonate karsterosion, feldspar dissolution and clay mineral dehydration, the pore and throat are mainly onthe high porosity the middle and thin throat and the middle porosity thin throat; diagenesisis mainly on the compaction, cementation and dissolution, among them, the compaction, cementation may caused the loss of reservoir pore, the dissolution made the porosityimproved. Finally, the rule of the reservoir sand distribution of the study area was analysed byusing the constrained inversion, predicted the thickness of the sand body of eight short termcycles.
