Expresswa y la ndslide is one of the serious issue which is threatening the traffic safety.Itgradua lly become the focus of the whole society,so it is of great importance to establish thesystem of expresswa y la ndslide monitoring and prediction to prevent the la ndslide evolving adisaster. The paper introduces the traditiona l methods of expresswa y la ndslide monitoring ,the principle of la ndslide monitoring and theories of data processing based on GPStechnology.According to the specific conditions of la ndslide monitoring in Tong-huangexpresswa y,it furtherly discusses both the scheme of la ndslide monitoring and the dataprocessing about this project.The major contents and results are as follows :(1) It formulates specific scheme of landslide monitoring in Tong-huang expressway.Using simulation method to estimate the precision of the monitoring network and determiningthe reasonable reiteration cycle of la ndslide monitoring by analysing the relationship betweenla ndslide monitoring accuracy, repetition period and deformation velocity based on thedeformation features of Tong-Hua ng expresswa y slopes .(2) In this paper, the theories and methods of la ndslide monitoring data processing aboutTong-huang expresswa y are studied. Also the reasonable initia l points of control monitoringnetwork are selected by analyzing their compatibility with the methods of intuitivecomparison the result of adjustment, comparison the correction of correspond ing baselinesand conformance discrimina tion of scale ratio parameter.(3) The quality evaluation indexes of the GPS monitoring results are discussed and theprecision of the calculated GPS results are analyse d in this paper.After analyzing the GPSla ndslide deformation monitoring data in area B which belongs to the Tong-huang expressway,the advantaged parameters are ascertained based on the research of the observation period , thelength of the observation period and the height cut-off angle of the satellite'rationa l value. (4) Towards to the problem of traditiona l leveling data and GPS leveling data exist ingsimultaneously, the paper discuss es the theories and methods of GPS elevation and analyse sthe fitting scheme s with the methods of polynomia l fitting, multi-quadric equation fitting andthe combined model fitting.So the norma l height of monitoring points can be calculated.(5) After synthetica lly analyzing the deformation characteristic with the GPS data,itanalyze s the slid ing deformation characteristic and their stability state of the landslide massesin Tong-Huang expresswa y, and also predicts the development trend of la ndslide deformationby applying the gray prediction theory model which established by GM (1, 1) model,weighted single point model, equal weighted multipoint model and weighted multipointmodel, also gets the result of prediction which are identify with the experimental data. And theprecision of prediction results based on weighted multipoint model is higher tha n othermethods.The research find ings of this paper has certain reference value to the la ndslidedeformation monitoring in bess mountainous expresswa y of Shan xi Province.
