It can realize the best integration of spatial graPhics, text and data. The applied fields thaGIS actS as a favorable tool fOr the iniegrated management and interpation, have become quiteextensive. In the field of mineral resources evaIuation, GIS provides an ability of the integratedmanagement, the effective integration and analysis for multi-source information including geological,geophysical, geochemicaI and remote sensing data with the assistance of the compUter; It has become akind of poweffol tool for the extraCtion and integraion ofmetallogenic infOrmation.The pmpose of this dissertation is app1ying the GIS technique to the exPloraion and evaluation ofin-sitU Ieachable sandstone uranium depositS and making the GIS application system of desktop fOr non-GIS professionals. The designed system can perform the high effective management, quick queryintegrated analysis for a great deal of multi-source exploration information and all kinds of productionoutPut so that the syStem can really become a powerful tool during predicting prospecting areas ofsandstone uranium deposits.The compositive platform of the system is ArcView3.2 which is a kind of GIS tool soforare.Thesecondary design is developed through the AVENUE language provided by ArcView3.2 on the softwarefuncions. The system is able to finish the integration fOr all kinds of data obtained in the exPIoration ofsandstone uranium deposits, some spatial analysis methods and integrated evaluation models. Accordingto the need of multi-source information management and integraed evaluation, a series of new functionsare aPpended to the basic platform through AVENUE language on a basis of sufficiently inheritingArcVew3.2 software functions and a friendly graPhic user interface is also created, so that the systemimplements the following funCtions bettef, including information query data base management, editinggraphics, geologic maPping, image processing, spatial analysis, model analysis and result outPut. Thesystem is composed of seven big modules which are made of the spatial data management and analysis,attribUte dare management and analysis, chan, mapping output, script, MGE view and diaIog designeLAl1 the parts of the System own the ability of the communication and infOrmation shtring.At last, the author has aPplied the system software to uranium exploration project in the south ofManzhouli. Based on building multi-source geoscience information data base including geologic,geochemical, geophysical and remote sensing data, the system software has been used to mange allkinds of data and to perform the integrated analysis of spatial data for realizing the integrated predictingof the sandstone uranium deposits. In the Kelulun basin, the weights of evidence analysis has been usedto quantitatively predict the prospective areas of sandstone uranium deposits, providing a theoreticfoundation for the further exploration work.
