Slope failure is one of the most popular styles of nature disasters,It offen happens with earthquakes or rainstorms.The important reasons causing slopes failure are human activity that slopeing,buliding dams or embankments(especially on soft base),digging ground engineering,sluicing in reservoirs,etc.Therefore,many researchers focus on slopes in many aspects.Lai Long Mountain lies in north of Fu Yang.The slope happened because of digging channel and sloping hill at the foot of Lai Long Mountain. This paper takes some researches closely surrounding Lai Long Mountain Slope to develop some useful results.First,this paper introduces the slope,analyses the cause and the factors of the slope and current status of moitoring.Then,calculates the slope's stabilization by the limit equilibrium method and the limit element method,evaluates some factors that influence the slope's safety factor . According these,slope engineering can be done.Then,researches the relation between rainfall and slope,including two sides:One is relating water infiltration and soil state by soil's water content to show that slope situates most disadvantage circumstances when rainfall comes.The other is showing the relation between rainfall and slope by data from monitor.Last,applies grey system to the slope,including GM model forecasting and grey association analysis.Though all researches are taken to focus on Lai Long Mountain Slope,it is useful to apply these research to other slopes. As a whole,this paper offers some new thoughts in research of slopes.
