Vector data compression carries important significance in studies such as geography environment simulation, map database establishment and GIS. The paper studies models and algorithms of the vector graphic data compression with corresponding transform in the tracing-result of various graphic factors after digitization.The study establishes the compression of models and algorithms for vector graphics data on different basis, including on the basis of vector graphic factors of B spline curves in predecessor's research; on the basis of rectangle graphic factors in main axis mode; on the basis of the application of Hough transform to polygonal line, ellipse and circle, so the study improves the models and algorithms of compression for vector graphic data.The compression for vector graphic data mainly studies the data of storing graphic factors. First, the redundant points are eliminated and the feature points are traced. Second, the feature points are transformed correspondingly. The paper can resolve the problem of vector data compression very well and these models and algorithms have high efficiency on vector data compression.
