Research On Three-dimensional Geological Modeling Based On The Sections

Three-dimensional geological modeling (3DGM) is one of the key issues to be solved in the three-dimensional geographic information system (3DGIS) and Virtual Mine．The thesis analyzed the current 3DGM conditions, discussed the relationship between 3DGM and the sections, and then put forward a kind of method and data model for topological 3DGM based on the sections．In the end, the author studied out the basic system for topological 3DGM and tested the models validity．The main content of this thesis includes:1. Sums up the main problem in current 3DGM study, such as the absent topology description and the interactive difficult in 3D space．2. Analyzes the common method of the object perceive, gives out the translation solution between two different coordinates．3. Puts forward a kind of 3D model based on the irregular data model and frame model．4. Gives out the key step and arithmetic during the 3D object modeling based on sections．5.
