The promoter of SEN1 cloned from Arabidopsis thaliana genome was fused to the GUS reporter and then introduced into Arabidopsis thaliana(Col-l). The expression of SEN1 gene was examined by GUS staining under nutrition stress(nitrogen phosphorus , potassium deficiency), adversity stress (cold, drought, salt, dark), hormone treatment (ABA, 6-BA, NAA )and glucosamine treatment. The result showed that dark could most dramaticly induce SEN1 gene in the Arabidopsis leaves. Phosphorus deficiency drought stress glucosamine and NAA treatment could induce SEN1 gene in Arabidopsis root. ABA could induce SEN1 gene in Arabidopsis lateral root primordia. During the normal growth phase, the gene was induced in leaves, roots, and inflorescence at about 30 days after germination.
