Oil and gas exploration field of China is tending to change from looking for structural entraps to seeking Iithoiogic ones in recent years with the development of oil and gas exploration and exploitation. Reservoir prediction technology has been turning into one of the most important and useful methods in oil and gas research field. Seismic data, for its successive character in landscape orientation, and well-logging data, for its high-resolution power in vertical orientation, have been taken into consideration as a whole to predict Iithoiogic reservoirs, which is the leading way in this field at nowadays.In this paper, study indicates that the wavelet phase is one of the most important information in making synthetic seismogram. And a cross correlation method for calculating wavelet phase is discussed and proved as a feasible way. Wavelets are extracted from different time multi-windows with multi-traces, and then added together to form an average wavelet. The average wavelet has very good characteristics, such as centralized energy, low background noises, easy operation, etc And the well-log error effect can be reduced with this wavelet extraction method. On the basis of the wavelet phase calculation and wavelet extraction methods, a useful optimized way is presented to form synthetic seismogram. High-resolution synthetic record was made in this way, and high accuracy horizon calibration was finished successfully. The theory and realization of coherence analysis is also studied in this paper. With the coherence analysis and true 3-D interpretation technique, 5 horizons and the fracture combination of the 280 km2 study area are interpreted. The reservoir prediction results are compared, which come from the methods of seismic response characteristic analysis, instantaneous amplitude coherence analysis and elastic impedance inversion. And then a combined way, adopting the instantaneous amplitude coherence analysis method to control reservoirs' orientation landscape spread, using the elastic impedance inversion method to control the vertical distribution and take the seismic response characteristics into consideration, is concluded and with which the reservoir prediction and parameter calculation of the study area are finished.
