The Research Of Map Symbol Recognizing Methods

Map pattern recognition is an important research direction in mapping automation now. Recognizing map information automatically from scanning map by computer carves out a new way for map digital. The thesis is based on information recognition and acquiring automatically from large scale relief map. The content covers three parts:(1) The research of point map mark and the analysis of recognition method in existence.(2) Recognizing point map mark through nerve network .The flow of point map mark recognizing is designed in detail. A BP model for four layers is adopted and the network is improved by the setup of parameters and input/output. The program is improved by data form analysis and inner memory adjustment .A rule of parameters change is concluded through experiment.(3) The realization of building recognition. The work contains pretreatment, start point searching, outline extracting, breakpoint joint, corner checking ,right angle processing.(4) A system of map vectored is developed by VC + + 6.0.
