Using monthly mean rainfall data in North-west of China (NWC) and the NCEP/NCAR monthly reanalyzed data, the time and space distribution characters of atmosphere vapor transportation and precipitation are reanalyzed, and using the method of Mann-Kendall, the climate break about atmosphere vapor and precipitation is researched too. The main results are as follows:(1) The distribution character of atmosphere vapor and precipitation are accordant in NWC, the content of vapor in summer is most abundant, and least in winter. There are three vapor transportation belts in NWC, which are Northwest wind vapor transportation belt and Southwest wind and West wind, however the Southwest vapor belt is weakened greatly in winter.(2)During the past 43 years, the content of precipitable water in influence region of West wind climate was most abundant in decade of 1960, but the precipitation was low than the average level in this time. The precipitable water and precipitation have been increased since 1970. The net atmosphere vapor in influence region of West wind belt was increased during past 43a, and which changed from negative value to positive. The net vapor flux comes from longitude forward before 1980, and with increasing of net west wind vapor flux later 1980, the contribute from two forward are same. Except for autumn, it's climate break took place in the other seasons, the changing time of annual was 1985, spring was 1977, summer was 1994, winter was 1987.(3 ) Except for winter, in the influence region of Qinghai-Xizang plateau monsoon, the content of precipitable water is decreasing in the other seasons in past 43a, it's climate break took place in annual and spring and winter, the changing time of annual was 1976, spring was 1974, winter was 1981. Due to increasing of net west vapor flux , the net atmosphere vapor flux is increasing in this region except for winter. The value of net vapor flux is positive only in summer. The net vapor flux of longitude forward is positive in every season and the net latitude forward vapor flux is negative. It's climate brake took place in the annual and spring and winter, the changing times of annual was 1992, and spring was 1988, and the winter was 1965.(4) Except for winter increasing, in the influence region of East Asian summer...
