The dust storm occurrence in North China during 8—11, April 2003 was simulated by MM5 3.6.3 system and NCEP 1×1 global Final Analysis Data to study the dust particles effect as ice nuclei on cloud microphysics, through changing the ice nuclei concentration to study the relationship between dust aerosol and regional precipitation, and to probe into the dust storm effect on the downward precipitation, found out that mechanism and degree of dust aerosol effects on cloud and precipitation, try to study effect of the dust aerosol from another point of view.By consider of the different range of the ice nuclei concentration and relationship between the ice nuclei concentration and atmospheric temperature, six experiments was designed in this paper. Based on weather observation and synoptic analysis, all kind simulation results, such as the temperature, humidity, cloud ice mixing ratio and cloud water mixing ratio etc. are analyzed.
