The accomplishment of the 3-D exploration and a serial of new wells in the south of Baimamiao, provides a lots of new data for sedimentary circumstance and the discipline of distribution of sand, and therefore, early study cannot be suitable for new situation of exploration and exploitation. Drawing on the research of the predecessors, and applying 3-D seismic data and the achievements of exploitation, we have established the corresponding relationship among geology, logging and geophysics in the member of sand and pursued every layer's sand in III and IV member of Penglai formation. On the foundation of 3-D sand identification, we identify the distribution of sand in the interspaces and interpret 2-D and 3-D sand in the whole work area. On the basis of synthetical employment of the information about drilling, logging and seism, we did partition of layers and make a comparison of the layer's sequence, establish standard profile of sedimentary microfacies, draw the plan view of sedimentary microfacies in every member of Penglai formation and predict the beneficial distribution of high yielding sand, and therefore provide more accurate information for later exploration and exploitation. The research involved in this present thesis and its according achievements are as follows:1. By means of the sand tracing of III and IV member of Penglai formation in 2-D and 3-D, the corresponding relationship between sand interpretation of geology, logging and the attributes of seism has been established, every sublayer has been interpreted accurately, the sand's growth distribution in interspaces and connectedness have been confirmed.2. Having a study of the surface's types and sedimentary framework in this work area, we confirm the fact that the sedimentary types of it are mainly lake delta deposit whereas a small part is normal lake deposit. With the outcome of 3-D interpretation seismic data, we identify the sedimentary framework of this work area is almost anomalistic netted distribution of NNE/NE-SSW/SW. Through the study of the distribution of sand it is ascertained that IV-2 submember in this work area is the most favorite submember of all.3. On the accurate analysis of almost sixty producting wells of the sand sedimentarymicrofacies and preserve capability, especially on the seven high yielding wells, the relationship between them has been confirmed. That is the high yielding wells of this work area mainly distribute in lake delta plain deposit. The pay formation of the high yielding wells is distributary channel microfacies, which is characterized by high thickness, coarse granularity and extensive range of distribution. Thereupon, it has been determined that the aim of well drilling in the future is the sand interpreted by seism with the traits of high thickness and extensive range.
