Since 20 century, with the exploitation of groundwater increasing endlessly, many cities which mine groundwater in our country have appeared different degree land subsidence, and series geological disasters with mining groundwater are placed a premium on, the development of city country economy has restricted. At present, each area enhances the management of groundwater mining continually and carries through the study of groundwater reasonable mining actively. Realizing groundwater information management with computer and GIS technology is main instrument that all levels water administration management department deepen groundwater management, it has practical meaning in the exploitations economy protection of groundwater.Firstly, the study of groundwater flow visualization simulation system researches the visualization building method about groundwater flow simulation concept model based on the elements of description hydrogeologic concept model. Secondly, starting from main differential equation of description groundwater movement and analyzing physical meaning of every calculation parameter, the theory and method of playing groundwater flow visualization simulation based on GIS is researched. Thirdly, based on the spatial distribution discontinuity and asymmetry of aquifer and aquifuge in the groundwater system, and the geometry shape abnormity of top and bottom of aquifer, the spatial automatism dispersing method adapting to groundwater system spatial distribution character are researched. Finally, aiming to the simulation result type of groundwater flow, the visualization expressing fashion about groundwater flow simulation result is researched.By researching, Groundwater flow concept model can be built by 2D and 3D visualization of point, line, plane and volume stratum information, the point information of opening out aquifer system is expressed by borehole card and histogram, the vertical structure of aquifer system is reflected by hydrogeologic profile map, the aquifer plane spatial distribution information is expressed by contour diagram and DEM, the aquifer system inner structure is expressed by volume information. The point, linear and plane spatial distribution parameters can be automatically distilled and evaluated by vector data transforming grid data and distilling technology, the function that model parameters quickly and automatically are evaluated is basically achieved.Finally, a case of the second confined groundwater flow simulation in Su Zhou, Wu Xi, Chang Zhou, the second confined groundwater flow visualization simulation is realized by the study and exploitation system, and the second confined aquifer level in 2005 is forecasted by groundwater mining compress scheme, the second confined groundwater level is expressed by level contour diagram, DEM and groundwater flow field, it offers spatial assistant decision-making auspice for rationalization mining management about the second confined groundwater in Su Zhou, Wu Xi, Chang Zhou.
