With the development of Close Range Photogrammetry and the increasing resolution of digital camera, the digital camera has become the most important acquisition equipment in the field of Close-Range Photogrammetry. It is very important to study the metric application method on ordinary digital image to perfect the the work procedure ,to increase the accuracy of digital camera, and to extend its applying field.This paper studies the method to deal with different images.Beginning with the two applied methods of ordinary digital camera, the main research achievements are as following:1. Deduction of the basic formula of Direct Linear Transformation(DLT),and make a generalized analysis about DLT. The results have theoretical sense on DLT on ordinary digital image.2. Research on the critical techniques of D LT based on ordinary digital image. Including the distribution affection of control points, the select scheme of distortion models, and the effect of adding condition equations on DLT based on ordinary digital images3. making the digital camera measured ,and evaluating the application accuracy of metric digital camera .experiments show that the metric digital camera can be applied in engineering which requests moderate accuracy.4. Exploration on the metric processing algorithm and its features on Metric ordinary digital images, including the method of space resection -space forward ,and the method of relative Orientation and absoluted Orientation, and grading the accuracy of digital image which is measured. Experiments show that the metric digital camera can achieve the correspond accuracy as the non-metric digital camera, but it reduces the desiration of control. So the application of metric digital camera is deliverable for engineering applications.5. Study on the applicability of bundle adjustment method to the non-metric digital images, experiments show that bundle adjustment still has the highest accuracy. The article also presents the concept and the method of generalized bundle method,which has the ability to compensate the affine distortion.6. Research on the possibility of parrlled photogrammetry on ordinary digital camera. The research shows that if the methods are proper, the parrlled photogrammetry can get higher accuracy in some narrow spaces.
