By using the NCAR/NCEP reanalysis data of monthly mean surface temperature, geopotential height of 500hpa,1000hpa height in north hemisphere and monthly mean temperature and precipitation in jilin province, the climatic interannual and inter decadal variability and temperatural and spacial variation features of extreme climate is analysized. Then, the detection of climatic abrupt of the annual mean temperature and annual precipitation were preformed by the means of sperated time interval linear fitting. At last,we studied the correlation of extreme climate and anormal circulation. The following results were given:(l)The time of mean temperature variation is the same in jilin province as in north hemisphere.(2) In jilin province ,the climatic inter-decadal variability over 50 years performed the course of cold and humid—cold and dry —warm and humid—warm and dry.(3) The precipitation was detected that it had two abrupts in 1977 and 1987. The annual mean temperature had a inflexion abrupt in 1967 and a mean abrupt in 1987. (4) The maximum and minimum temperature were both increasing trend for recently 50 years, but the inter-decadal variability of minimum temperature was 2.6 times by the one of minimun temperature. This resulted in obvious decreasing trend for temperature daily range. (5)The days of daily maximum temperature above 32 ℃ showed no significant trend, the days of maximum temperature above its threshold showed significant increasing trend, the days of daily minimum temperature below 0℃ and those of minimum temperature below its its threshold showed an obvious decreasing trend. (6) Total days of annual precipitation were gradually dreasing; the days of...
