The Hydro-hammer Technique in drilling hole is for shorten hydraulic hammer ,owing to its special structure and working principle ,makes it featured in simple structure ,suits to deep-hole hard rock drilling and has well application prospect in hydrological water-well, geothermal hydro-well and scientific drilling .Its successful application in CCSD has highlighted its great function. But so far as to the reason that hydraulic hammer has characteristic like low transmission efficiency of single impact energy, mostly replies on experiential design, instable working state ,this paper makes a start on stress wave so that proposes some practical theory for its design and some analysis on its drilling movement.This paper uses the basic theory of wave to achieve the changing regularity of speed and force of the stress wave produced by the hammer in the procession of transmission on mass point of each variable cross-section .Along with the transmission of stress wave ,the energy also transmits .when the disturbance transmits in the elastic medium as wave ,the place where the wave pass ,the mass point vibrates at round the balance point so to hold the kinetic energy and potential energy, but the change of the kinetic energy and potential energy based on the change of wave. Therefore this paper talks energy transmition mainly on the changing process of stress wave and acting force to estimate the changing of the impact energy and the optimal value of single energy efficiency from the changing process of wave.This paper also discusses on the affect of impact energy ,the transient deformation length of materials changing along with time and gets the result that we can get the change length of section area from the transient deformation change length .And this paper discusses the characteristic of stress wave transmission in three denominational space ,and judges the wave model change law of the stress wave transmit in corning tool, and the reasonable match of tri-cone bit and the characteristic of wave.In the final, based on the above theory, this paper discusses the optimize design of the hammer.
