Through the synthesis of such materials as the detailed observation of the core of artesian well in the study area and the open country section in the neighborhood (Zibo) and the analysis and study of the section datum of log wells which reach the Permo-Carboniferous deposits in Jiyang area and screening, analyzing and making use of the forefathers' result of study etc, the depositional system, the depositional faces and the characters of the humic gas reservoir of the Permian-Carboniferous deposits in Gubei area even the Jiyang falling. First of all, the type of depositional system of Permo-Carboniferous has been found out. There are four main depositional systems: tidal flat depositional system, barrier-lagoon depositional system, fluvial-dominated shallow water deltaic system and fluvial-lacustrine depositional system. Further more, barrier-lagoon depositional system features largely in Jiyang area. The detailed study of the space exhibition characteristic of the depositional microfacies in important district, the distributing regulation of the framework sand body and the depositional analysis of reservoir have supplied the basis of the reservoir evaluation. By means of the analysis of the characteristic of the sedimentary sequence, the depositional environment, diagenesis and its effect on the quality of the reservoir, it is thought that the lower Shihezi and upper Shihezi stages are the main reservoirs area in Permian. And the sandrock of Kuishan stage in Permian is a good reservoir for humic gas.
