In the interest of predicting the high porosity zone occurrences of the deep basin in the Yuanyanggou region of Liaohe western depression, ulteriorly enriching and perfecting the exploration technology of sandstone and conglomerate in the subtle reservoir, firstly we studied all kinds of diageneses in this region, divided diagenetic stages, and then analyzed the genesis of high porosity zone formation, finally predicted high porosity zone occurrences in the horizontal orientation and development of the favorite reservoir. As the results of the diageneses research show, the Tertiary reservoir composed of clastic rock in the Yuanyanggou region can be divided into the early diagenetic stage and the late diagenetic stage, aggregately five subphases. The Tertiary reservoir in the vertical orientation develops three high porosity zones, every one firstly occurs in the sandstone of debouch bar and braided-divided flow channel, secondly occurs in the sandstone of raised bank and channel bar. Although each high porosity zone formed in different depositional environment, the sandstones are all arcose in the structural maturity and the componential maturity, furthermore, are mostly fine sandstone. But because of difference in the bury history and the thermal history, the formation of these three high porosity zones is also different, the first high porosity zone is formed by meteoric water and organic acids, and the second and the third high porosity zone are mainly formed by organic acids. Moreover the concentration of organic acids is chiefly related to diagenetic stage, the high concentration part mainly is distributed on the early diagenetic stage B ~ the late diagenetic stage Aj.The high porosity zone occurrence of the Tertiary reservoir composed of clastic rocks in the Yuanyanggou region is controlled by diageneses (or organic acids) and sedimentary facies, lying in the early diagenetic stage A ~ the late diagenetic stage A1 and the area of the sandstones developing in debouch bar, braided-divided flow channel, raised bank and channel bar is namely high porosity zone development of the lower Shasan Member (Es33) and the upper-middle Shasan Member (Es31-2); furthermore, lying in the late diagenetic stage A2 and the area of the sandstones developing in debouch bar, braided-divided flow channel, raised bank and channel bar is namely high porosity zone comparative development of the lower Shasan Member (Es3) and the upper-middle Shasan Member (Es31-2), the physical property of the reservoir is relatively worse.
