Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng is a kind of perennial herbaceous plant placed in the family poaceae, which is resistant to disease, drought and cold. Anatomic structure of seminal root, secondary root, stem and leaf of Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng. were studied by means of paraffin wax section method. Results indicate that the Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng formed various types of structures so as to adapt to the drought environment.Lamina have thicker cuticle, hollow stomas, well-developed epidermal hairs, conducting tissue and mechanical tissue; the leaves, whose mesophyllous tissue did not differentiate, and have developed conducting tissue. Well-developed sclerenchyma surrounds vascular tissue and occurs within vascular conducting tissue. The result shows that the Psathyrostachys huashanica Keng has the structure characteristic of C3 plant. The anatomy structure of stem is similar to the wheat stem's.The vascular bundle of rhizome was diffused and distributed in circle in parenchyma. The parenchyma cell stored starch grains. Rhizome had advanced pith cavity. The connecting of vascular bundles of elongated node was also analysis in wax section method. It shows that there are different vascular bundles in different level.
