The introduction's part of the paper describes the development, essential theory and contents of z-pinch; the design of wire array; the significance of fabrication of ultra-fine molybdenum wire and gilt molybdenum wire for z-pinch; the essential characteristics of molybdenum wire.The main part of this paper narrates the fabrication's method and theory of molybdenum wire; the process of experiments; results and discussion. In order to know the affect of the velocity of erosion and surface of molybdenum wire with the change of surrounding, single-variable method is used .During the experiments, every factor is taken into account. After optimizing the experiments' condition , we can fabricate the qualified ultra-fine molybdenum wires and gilt molybdenum wires. The main works completed by me are as follows:1. Improvement of the device of electrolysis polish: shut down the distance of molybdenum wire between the wheels wound the wires; reduce the number of crown block; decrease the moment inertia of wheels; lead steam; reduce the orientation force given by solution's steam, improvement of device of pulse electroplating: mend the circuit ;avoid using the cathode assist method, so decrease the ingress of impurity ion; mend the hitch.2. Using the theory and device of Alternating current electrolysis polishing method, 35 μm molybdenum wire can be fabricated the ultra-fine molybdenum wire for Z-pinch physics experiment, in the experiments, we study the influences of temperature, concentration of solution ,corrosion time on the decrement ofmolybdenum wire diameter and the surface of molybdenum wire . After finding out the regulation of erosion , fabrication condition can be optimized. The problems that will occur during the process of fabrication are discussed. We also tested the surface of molybdenum wires by SEM and AFM, and their strength by Digital Force Gauge. The results of experiments prove we can fabricate 5~10/zm ultra-fine molybdenum that can satisfy the Z-pinch physics experiment, with smooth surface.3. Pre-treat the raw material of 35 /jm molybdenum wire. In order to plate a compact gold layer, the sulfite pulse gild technics is used. In the gild experiment, the main factors that may affect the surface of gild molybdenum wire and conductivity of molybdenum wire , such as cathode current densities, solutions at pH values, temperatures of the plating solutions, plating time and the distance between two electrodes, are taken into account and are optimized. The experiment's results are measured by scan electric microscope, so we can know the quality and thickness of the layers. We also test the bind-force between the gold layer and the molybdenum wire. The results indicate we can fabricate the gilt molybdenum wire with a slippery and compact surface. Gild molybdenum wires are provided with one of loading wires for Z-pinch physics experiments.
