In this paper, we propose a numerical method: the heterogenous multi-scale finite volume method(HMM-FVM), for solving multi-scale parabolic problem. The method bases on the framework of HMM. Some error estimates are obtained and the numerical examples are also presented to demonstrate the efficiency of our scheme. In the last, we apply the HMM-FVM to the unsaturated flow in porous media.
