Landslides have been proved to be most extensive and serious geologic hazard, so landslides monitoring is crucial to our life and national economy. At present, slopes stability is determined by both internal analysis on strength and external analysis on displacement. And the displacement is regard as the visualized reflection of landslides stability. Thus, instruments and methods for monitoring landslides is a hot topic.GPS has been proved to be a state-of-the-art monitoring tool because of its high-precision, high-speed, all-climate working and dispensing with intervisible measuring stations. When GPS is used to monitor landslides, it can provide high precision and be free from weather. The cost of the conventional GPS monitoring method used in Landslides monitoring is high, which would badly embarrass the application of GPS. In order to reduce the cost, Landslides Monitoring system using GPS multi-antenna technology was developed. Key technologies were designed and used in project. The results show that not only real-time monitoring of landslide achieved, but also cost of the system was greatly cut down.Due to the short time of observation, GPS multi-antenna system can not satisfy the requirements of static positioning. Because Channels changing of GPS multi-antenna system is equal to receiver lock-lose, it can not reach the accuracy of landslides monitoring using conventional software offered by manufacturer. In order to resolve these problems, the software suiting GPS multi-antenna system was developed and verified using data from Xiaowan Hydropower Station in Yunnan. The results show that the calculating accuracy of the new software can satisfy the requirements. In addition, for reducing errors of data, low and high Kalman filters were built to deal with deformation monitoring data of landslides. The results show that the accuracy of positioning points can be improved by Kalman filters.
