Virtual Reality is a kind of computer system which can create and experience VirtualWorld. By using special facilities, a three-dimension (3-D) vision, hearing, and feeling can beexperienced. Its goal is to implement real feeling and convenient human-machine interaction.A Virtual Reality System is such one whose goals can be reached wholly or partly.VRML-Virtual Reality Modeling Language is a kind of graphic description languagewhich can create 3-D models. It can achieve real effects by creating virtual scenes. It is thesecond generation Web programming language. H-M interaction based on 3-D objects can berealized on Web by using VRML, especially it changes the present limitation of interactionbetween network and user. It makes H-M interaction more convenient and flexible. It can alsomake the virtual world's reality, interaction, and dynamic become true completely. In this paper, a demonstration experiment system based on VRML is studied. Thedemonstration experiment is to show the running law of celestial bodies. In the system,MATLAB, Simulink, VR Toolbox and VR Editor are combined perfectly. The controllingmodel combined Simulink with VR Toolbox on MATLAB platform is created, it reads scenesfrom VR Editor and realizes dynamic simulation of demonstration experiment of running lawof celestial bodies. The system makes VRML be applied in demonstration experiment teaching and networkeducation. It also enlightens us to use VRML extensively in other teaching fields. With thedevelopment and application of science and technology, more and more high-techs are used inteaching. This trend will offer wider space for VRML's application in modern education.
