Study On The Optical Fiber Surface Plasmon Resnance Sensor Applied In Plant Biochemistry Examination

The optical fiber Surface Plasmon Resonance sensor (optical fiber SPR sensor) is an advanced and high-precision sensor, which is a combination of optical fiber technology and SPR. Following further study of this technology, SPR sensor has been widely used in biochemical field abroad. According to the different of the configuration and substrate of SPWS, SPR sensor can be classified as a prison SPR sensor and an optical fiber SPR sensor. The concrete applications of the optical fiber SPR detection system are mainly studied in this paper.The basic theory of SPR is introduced in the paper. The conditions which to excite the surface plasmon wave (SPW) and generate resonance are also discussed theoretically. According to the basic principle of SPR, the work principles of both prism SPR sensor and optical fiber SPR sensor are presented. Meanwhile, the relation between optical fiber,metal layer and surrounding material is obtained.The noise from the optical fiber SPR detection system are analyzed and processed by using different signal processing methods and classic filters, thus the influence of the noise in the data is reduced and the precision of the detection system is also improved.The concentration of the glycerol aqueous, the chlorophyll, the conductivity and the soluble protein are tested by the optical fiber SPR detection system, meanwhile the enzymatic reaction is also detected online. The relationship between the refractive index (or concentration) of the surrounding material and the resonant wavelength (or the resonant light intensity) is obtained in the paper. By studying the influence of the surrounding material to optical fiber SPR sensor, the theoretic basis and the practice basis are presented for the optical fiber SPR sensor's application in biochemical detection.The applications of the optical fiber SPR detection system in biochemical detection are studied in this paper. Test result and experience gained in operation are highly satisfactory. It is concluded that the system has the advancements of operating simply, highly sensitivity, online detecting and so on. The study will make contribution to the wider application of the optical fiber SPR sensor in biochemical detection.
