Carry on the investigation to the current situation and the types of the wetland vegetations of the Inner Mongol east district, gather the wetland plant samples and finish theirs identifying work, utilize quadrate sample method to determine the makeup, population density, plant height, cover and biomass of the different wetland communities; at the same time, utilize theodolite altimetry to confirm the height relative to the water of different wetland communities' edges in investigating district, on this basis, this text get the following conclusions:1. Based on forefathers' understanding of wetland, combine the survey of wetland of the Inner Mongol east district, define the wetland in "terms of wetland vegetations, think " the wetland is the natural transition region between the land ecosystem and the aquatic ecosystem, including the shallow water ecosystems of the river, lake and the soil of the land ecosystem which are long-termly or periodically in water saturated condition, the wetland is natural region synthesis which vegetation types are rely mainly on aquatic vegetation, marsh , wet-meadowsward marsh, marshward wet meadows and wet meadows".
